- what is the Toyota Rav4 tow prep package? do you have it and what's the difference between trim levels for the prep package? the tow ratings of the rav4 are 1500 for gas 1750 for the hybrid and 3500 for the adventure and TRD offroad

You all must be aware that these towing capacities are ONLY with brakes on trailer. Otherwise the limits are 1000 lbs for gaz and hybrid. (check owner's manual)
Steven, this video brought back memories for me. It's very cool to see that Beaman is still using the historical old Pontiac Indian Chief neon sign on the admin building. I remember as a kid visiting my Grandmother in Nashville who lived on Broadway and passing by the dealership in the early 70's with the prominent red neon Pontiac logo! Might be a fun video to do a history of Beaman video?

Would woodland have same coolers as other hybrids? Looking at getting Rav4 to tow kayak trailer, so probably no more than 1000lb total.
Thank you for this video. I appreciate this. I have typed all kinds of keywords to find something. I can't find much, except bits from videos for the rav, based on full reviews. Nothing like this video. I'm guessing the big difference with the offroad and adventure being anle to tow 3500, are that they have a different awd vs the other trims? I think this is what I'm picking up with your video and others.
My biggest question is probably something you answered. Maybe I missed it. Did you say all models have the transcooler? Only certain ones? I have a XLE. I love it, but I do wish I had the adventure.

I have a 2018 RAV4 Adventure AWD and added a tow hitch recently. I also wondered if that was my "tow package" I do want to see about a small camper to pull with it. I added the trailer hitch for a cargo carrier and to pull a smaller utility trailer
they all have a prep package. you have a 3500 lb max tow rating with an adventure

Thank you for this. I was concerned that my 22 off road I just got somehow didn’t include the tow prep package with added coolers because I was expecting to see a traditional tow hitch receiver already installed. Also didn’t see how to install cause it looked like the muffler is in the way. I didn’t realize Toyota wanted us to do the work in putting one in 😂

Is this information directly from Toyota? I’ve been trying to find if the engine oil cooler and transmission fluid cooler are really different in the Adventure and TRD trims compared to an XLE Premium. Myself and others have tried to search for specific parts and in regards to those, they don’t differ in part numbers between the Adventure and XLE Premium trims.

I have 2010 Toyota Ra4 V6 3.5l . I don’t know it’s a tow prep package? ( Alternator). It won’t start cause of 4 years old battery. After buy and install a new battery still not start. I was think an alternator bad. So I went to Oreily to buy an alternator. Before the service technician get it for me he ask if my car has a tow prep package. Could you please help me with this issues. Much appreciated
Yes, I have same exact RAV4 as you do .. Tow package is a larger alternator and radiator... Replacement of alternator is a pain , so make sure the alternator bad !!!!
Are the XLE same as XSE? I have the XSE hybrid AWD & want a hitch
they attach the same way

Is every AWD Rav 4 towing capacity 3500lbs?
No. Hybrids are 1750 TRD off road and adventure are 3500 and regular gas ones ie xle limited etc are 1500
It is upgradable way to go from 1500 to 3500 towing
Only the Adventure and offroad have that rating. Its not about the hitch or the prep package its more about the more rigid frame.
