In it, he (alongside the equally brilliant Bad Company fighter and Muay Thai world champion Joe Craven) goes over one way he likes to counter the body kick with heavy hands whilst fighting!!

Violent left hook
Harrison is the real deal.
Directions unclear : my ribs are broken
Poetry in motion. Love this guys technique and the power he generates… 👊
Even while doing it slow bro is quick
This "heavy hands" technique might work on a half-assed roundhouse kick thrown by a mediocre fighter, but a round house kick executed full power by a master that has done thousands of full power round house kicks for years, will mangle your rib cage, arm, or whatever limb you use to block such a kick.
You're right. I was a kickboxer 35 years ago, I know how powerful a kick is. It seems that this move isn't prasctical
This is liam harrison he’s fought and beat many muay thai fighters and kickboxers before. He was one of the most violent and explosive fighters in his prime but he’s old now
@@TrungNguyen-dg2pcIf that was true you’d have heard of liam harrison he’s a legend though now he is past his prime
😮❤"Rinse and repeat!"
Beeeautiful chain reaction.
Отличное комбо🔥

Jesus Christ, Lord and Saviour blessed Liam with that hook.
What’s that elbow brace
Rapaz, perigoso hein... E se o Kick dele volta como um estilingue na cabeça!?
Half the comments think they can take Liam harrison
Would that open you up for a switch kick from your opponent (left kick)?
No, they’re on one leg until it’s tossed to the side, then they eat that left hook.
You're supposed to keep your hand covering your face and to make sure you have the leg secure. After pushing the leg away, you should bring the hand back to cover your face. The thing about combat is in real life you dont always do what you are trained.
It’s a demonstration of the technique, obviously good defence should be maintained.. that’s a given.
And no, after pushing the leg away you throw the hook. You don’t have time to release the leg, bring your hand back to your chin (for no reason, your opponent wouldn’t be able to hit you anyway) and then throw the left hook.. it’s a quick maneuver, like most in Muay Thai.
Why do people who have never trained or just started try to offer advice against a pro who has been doing it for 25 years
Your head is open for a cross from the guy with his leg up no? I've seen many able to pull it out.
You don’t hold the leg long , immediately push and counter. Also stepping with the kick makes the angle harder to land that cross
Push that feet away and then… you wake up from the punch. The opponent's kick can be a decoy. I don’t agree with you facing the kick or pushing that leg out.
@@dnwhynot10 what?
pull your head back if he starts punching.
who ever actually step into a muay thai gym knows that.
yet you are here commenting without any experience whatsoever
