Ref was very lucky there...could've easily caused a nasty gash on the leg or even cut a tendon. Skjei was lucky too to only get a little nick on the nose...he face-planted into those boards real hard
yup they are always in the way now , back to 3 especially as they use video replay now the 4 th is really not needed and brawls are not as common now as well .

Ref came back in game not too long after...i thought he broke his ankle too, but i guess he just needed some stitches
