one thing i constantly think about is what would happen to history, if rodney mullen didn't exist or what would happen, if somebody like chris cole went back in time and skated like he did right now o.o
i saw rodney's day in the life and i was wondering how he was so stressed, but then i figured out that there were a bunch of unpredictable kids on the team that stressed him out.
i think it was Public Domain where he said that he couldn't do one without the other, referring to his skating and his schooling, to which I repeated that part to my step father at the time, who wanted me to quit skateboarding....... Rodney Mullen was never one of my favorite skaters, but I would always wish he was a street skater and was so stoked when in Rubbish Heap he switch to the much harder board to ride.
We norwegians are born with ski´s on our feet, Rodney is born with a skateboard. I remember seeing Mullen in Norway, early ninetees?... Was he at the Metro Senter in Lørenskog then?
If Rodney never existed, I believe that somebody would have invented his tricks... only slower and alot later on in the future, knowing that skateboarding would be like a Yo-Yo and lose interest. As Jamie Thomas said, he thought that Jason Lee invented the Tre-Flip realizing later that Rodney invented it and documented on the video "Public Domain". If Chris Cole were to ever been back in time, let's just say that people would call him the devil. X-D
this threw me off a little bit but in his book he said that he finished college just not with the straight A's he did the first three years.?? so im going with the book and say he finished school lol
i think the greatest people in life never went to college. not to like encourage not going to college but it seems great/talented people dropped out or just didnt go.
i was riding down my street doing ollies i hit a big ass crack and both of my trucks came off and i was like what the fuck at least it was only 13 buck to buy.first time that happened
Hey chill out when I said he probably gets em at walmart I don't mean it as a criticism but it is plausible that you can get them there he doesn't seem like the "im obsessed with fancy shit" type of guy to me.
