The reason you don’t see anyone reload is because the camera never stays on one person long enough to see them use their entire clip/magazine.
Cap first 5 seconds was someone reloading
Or because they do it during the commercials…
This Sarge is what every squad need! Haven't seen such great Sergeant in a long while. Very typically strong, iron willed, tough, great discipline (both mentally and physically) and brutally no nonsense. Besides his every man, give this sarge a credit, great leadership displayed here! Very accurate and Badass! PS - he would definitely be Sgt. Rock if this was of DC universe.
I had forgotten about Sgt. Rock! I used to read his comics religiously as a kid.

Don't forget the
HAUNTED TANK!
✌️🍀
And he has the shakes, which shows he's human and probably ends up with ptsd
This should’ve been a scene in the Pacific it’s shot so well. The cinematography here is incredible
3:32
He's deciding what to do now. Never thought he'll get that far with the grenade
Fun Fact: You never see someone reload in this movie
Technically he reloaded the missile in the beginning soon as the clip started.
Nothing approaching fun here.
Is that the only reason you watched the movie was for the reload scenes? Just enjoy the show lol
@@JoshuaKerwood I guess the movie is realistic otherwise-- but the soldiers are using those special Hollywood Guns that have infinite ammunition.
Bullshit. Unless you slowed the video down to 0.25 you could never be able to catch everyone in this entire situation
01:20 Private Wilhem catches a round.
Omg. Good catch!
Where
Good grief, I don’t think I’d be brave enough to do something like that.
Grow a pair woman !!!!
😂😂😂😂
Thats not even how war is.
Honestly to me the craziest part of war, having been there too, is the way dead people were all alive five minutes ago
absolutely insane war was fought this was. So brutal.
Holy sh1t, this is pretty intense. I got PTSD just from watching this.
I love Japanese BBQ 3:55
Desmond Doss was part of an old breed of soldiers
The carnage of the Battle of Okinawa (the worst battle of the Pacific War), and the carnage of the other battles in the Pacific, were the context in which the atomic bombings -- and the non-atomic bombings of Japan -- took place. (I say that as a man who is married to a Japanese woman, and who has in-laws in Japan, and who has travelled to Japan several times.). A conventional invasion of the main islands of Japan would have been Okinawa times a hundred. And it it hadn't been for the bombings -- and for the Soviet invasion of Japanese-occupied Manchuria -- that land invasion would have occurred, and besides killing an enormous number of Americans, it would have killed moreJapanese civilians than were killed in the bombings. War is hell, and therefore hellish tactics that shorten a war are necessary.
And that is the reasoning for using the bombs.
What do I say to this, LOL🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Sounds like sour grapes.
Great movie about Desmond Doss but no way a bazooka blows up a bunker like the start of the clip lol. It's an anti tank weapon and the explosive charge barely rivals a grenade when used as anti infantry. You may use one to neutralize an MG nest but it's not gonna blow up a whole house and everyone around it like it seems here. They'd have to be storing amounts of high explosives right next to the MG for that kind of reaction and that's generally considered a bad idea.
Yeah, most people don't realize that anti-tank weapons are pressure weapons that kill by shooting a concentrated stream of molten metal that punches through tank armor and kills all those inside due to the overpressure created within the enclosed crew spaces.
@@JFS3 I mean sorta you're only half right, portable anti-tank weapons aren't capable of causing crew compartment overpressure like you think. There's a well documented account I read where a Sherman was penetrated by a panzerschreck. Only the radio operator died because he was directly in line of fire. All other crew survived without wounds, and the only really significant effect from the weapon was killing that one man and setting his clothes on fire. Oh, and a small hole in the side of the turret as well, of course.
You generally hope you hit an important crew member, equipment, or the big bang ammo storage.
A variety of ammunition was available.
Your comment begins by saying it's impossible but then you end by reasoning why it's possible so I don't understand why you said anything at all
@@RussOlson-pl3kf it's a movie trope that is extremely tired. It gives the idea that man portable anti-armor weapons can blow up entire houses. They really can't. It takes some other explosives/incendiaries being present and a huge stroke of luck. Even if enemy HE materiel is present it's still likely it won't even go off unless hit directly. Tanks hit by bazookas for instance do not suffer catastrophic damage unless something critical is in the direct line of fire. Soldiers were taught where ammo was stored for this reason so they could aim at it. HEAT is a very specific purpose explosive.
A bazooka as anti-infantry is still extremely effective, as it concusses and suppresses the troops near the blast long enough for attacking troops to get fire superiority and assault the bunker in close quarters with frags, flamethrowers, etc. but if you shoot a bazooka at a bunker the absolute most likely thing to happen is the machine gun stops firing for a minute and you better have planned what to do next, before someone gets back on the MG there. It was the equivalent of a hand grenade in anti-infantry use, just point-delivered from a distance. Not a big fireball boom, just a big puff of smoke and noise, and whoever is close to it gets one hell of a headache if they're not dead/unconscious
4:16 an injured soldier named pvt . Andy walker "how long you been dead son? "
The way of war: Savagery in return for savagery.
“Share this among you Tojo” would have been accurate
This was a great movie and Mel Gibson did an extraordinary job of directing it.
Need to see this movie now, somehow missed it,for a bit I thought they were gonna mimic Steve McQueen in ‘Hell is for Heroes’ with the satchel charge
NO WAR!
3:03 I just saw Siege of Mandalore when clones go against mandalorians. Now I know where Dave got the reference from
HOLY *SHIT* since Saving Private Ryan!!!
Bro sweared a lot ☠️☠️☠️
What is the name of the movie?
Hacksaw ridge! My favorite war movie
They were throwing that satchel charge around like it was a Frisbee. What were they, 20lbs?
No wonder Japaneese cars are so good..
Most Hollywood ww2 movie ever
They way how Mel Gibson describes it when he was directed said the last scene was unbelievable. Imo this movies is to glorify God's work in war.
@user-wu2lh7di2l Congratulations on the most pointless comment of the yar.
@@danielpickrell8311 This is a lie. You have not watched the movie. You have no idea who Desmond Doss was.
@@davidhoward4715 Desmond Doss is a medic. He followed his faith, got hated on, beat, persecuted, and almost got throw in jail. He kept his faith even through combat and was about to save around 200 lives. Earned the respect all the way up to his BC.
It's stylized, but imo this is one of the best depictions of the Battle of Okinawa. It's brutal and chaotic, and it really captures the overall feel of the fighting on Okinawa.
How Very Tragic Period Times like during war it must of been like.
So horrible.
The greatest generation that ever lived
Sent blacks to the frontlines but somehow the greatest generation, not to mention immense war crimes on both sides. Can’t agree on this one.
@@DarthBigga Are you saying that blacks are incompetent and can't fight courageously on the frontlines?
Also, Allied war crimes pale in comparison to Unit 731, the Holocaust, the Sook Ching Massacres, the Rapes of Nanking and Manila, and countless other atrocities committed by the Japanese and the Germans. Look at the death count of Allied civilians to see that one side was clearly purposely evil.
@@DarthBigga Your side lost. Deal with it.
@@DarthBigga this dude is disrespecting this vets while he do is just crying about his black rights 😂😂
But Not Long enough
Brave head hunters
2:56 wait did that guy just shoulder-fire a 50 cal Browning?
H O W.
He didn’t that’s an m1919 30 cal
I would feel pretty confident if they gave me a Tommy gun in a battle like this. A full auto 45 cal is a solid weapon for trench warfare and close quarters combat. BAR is too bulky and burns ammo too fast.
@2:56 That guys hand would of been welded to that barrel shroud.
Its a good movie but a lot of the battle scenes are absurd. You can't fire a BAR one handed with a molecule of accuracy. You don't pull grenade pins with your teeth unless you want to lose them. For the 700th time too flamethrowers don't explode if they're hit with a bullet. Sure aerosol gas could hiss out but it doesn't explode and engulf everyone in flame. It's all the same Hollywood war movie stuff.
Aren't the soldiers bunched too closely together
Full movie please
I know personally of an instance in Grenada of an Army Ranger running out of ammunition grabbing his M16 by the barrel and using it as a club. At the moment burning his hands was the furthest from his mind.
tbh if they aimed well enough they could prob damage the machine gun in the bunker
If a war like this is possible, can a friend's bullet hit a friend
Why not? 😂😂😂
