The music at the beginning might sound familiar because it is also used in Father Ted when Pat Mustard arrives

It's this gem "Man Friday" from Syd Dale (pretty much most things from the KPM label are golden, in fact most of the background music on Charlie Brookers various "wipe" shows are from the KPM Label) th-cam.com/video/g4zv_zj3XiI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=J716F3Ntw01vUEh0

I always appreciated the moments that during all the laughs and cringe, the show will suddenly show you a very serious and powerful advert. I think it is often just before the break, but that Unicef 'junk food' Commerical is a great example of it. Glad you enjoyed this!! 😊

I used to watch this as a teenager, seeing all those weird clips from around the world was fascinating, plus with no internet yet, it was the only way to see any of them!
(Will never forget the episode that featured Mr Methane, incidentally!)

Hey Noah, many happy returns on your birthday.
Been a viewer for a long time (since the 3rd UK Adverts video) but never leave a comment as I treat youtube like TV rather than social media.
Thought I would post this comment as I know that you like knowing about the history of the shows you react to. Your recap of the shows history at the start of the video was spot on (except for one fact which I'm sure you got from Wiki) but hopefully I can give you some further interesting facts about the "...On Television/...On TV" franchise.
The show originally started back in 1982 hosted by Clive James. Clive was a UK based Australian who at the time was more well know as an Arts and Media critic and host of cultural shows regarding the arts. With this background Clive made the perfect choice as host of a new show produced by London Weekend Television (LWT) for the ITV Network.
The idea of the show was to have Clive James critic clips from around the world in Clive's unique way. In short everything that Clive James said was serious but said with wit and humour.
Clive James hosted the show for 3 series (1982, 1983 and 1984). After the last regular series of Clive James on Television the show ran with Clive James as host once a season (Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter) specials (just like 'It'll be alright on the Night' with Dennis Norden) in 1986 and 1987, however the Winter 1987 episode was held back and aired on 1st January 1988 as a New Year special.
Clive James then left LWT and defected to the BBC. This is when the history of the show become a little bit more interesting.
The show was abandoned until 1989 (shortly after Clive James signing with the BBC) when Keith Floyd took over the show, renamed 'Floyd on Television' (made by the same production staff and following the Clive James format) but it tanked and Keith left the show after one series. Chris Tarrant took over the show (again made by the same team and folowing the Clive James format) for one series in 1990, under the title 'Tarrant on Television'.
There were no new episodes in 1991 or 1992. In 1993 and 1995 there were two short series (1993 named 'Tarrant's 10 Years on Television' and 1995 named 'Tarrant's 10 Years on TV') which showed the best of the previous episodes, mostly from the James and Floyd series but with new Voice Overs from Tarrant.
It was then decided that the Clive James format was too outdated and Chris Tarrant was offered a larger role in the show - namely becoming the main writer of the show along with being part of the team that would research and select the clip that would be used - and revamping the look (such as getting rid of the desk) and making the show more of a showcase of the most funny, serious and bizarre clips from around the world linked together by Chris Tarrant, so different to the old format started by Clive James of serious but witty critiquing the clips.
So the Old Clive James format of the show ran on and off under James, Floyd and then Tarrant between 1982 and 1995 (or 1990 if excluding the 'best of' types series of 1993 & 1995)
The all new Chris Tarrant led 'Tarrant on TV' ran from 1996 to 2005 with a new series each year (except 1997). The new 'Tarrant on TV' had a rather fixed formula and layout for each show, especially from 1998 onwards. The new format was as follows:-
    1) Open with a short funny clip (often a comical advert)
    2) Range of clips based on that week topic. The most common weekly topic (ie used once every year) were OTT US Chat Shows (Jerry Springer et al), US TV Evangelists, Japanese Game Shows (but never Endurance partly as that was linked to Clive James and because the show had long since ended in Japan).
    3) Almost always go into the commercial break with a hard hitting (at the time) foreign Public Information Film/Public Safety Advertisement. Most famously 'Tarrant on TV' showed a number of the violent and graphic mid-90s to early 2000's TAC Anti Drink-Driving adverts from Victoria, Australia.
    4) After the commerical break it was a selection of unrelated funny or bizarre clips.
    5) End the show with a foreign funny musical or dance clip.
So in short the show had two different formats, which is why in the comments section so far you have some people saying Clive James was the best host, and other Chris Tarrant. It all depends on which format of the show you prefer. So maybe you should watch an episode of Clive James on Television and see which version you prefer.
Regarding the lack of episodes on TH-cam there are two reasons for this:-
    1) A signficant number of episodes (of both the Clive James and Tarrant eras) contain more adult content clips. So if you are going to continue with reacting to these show you may want to review the videos and edit out any section that are 'a bit too hot for youtube'.
    2) Copyright claims. The only part of the show that ITV Studios (current owners of LWT and its archive) owns the copyright too is James/Floyd/Tarrant's links. All the clips were licensed by LWT and the copyright is owned by the original owners. For example in 1996 and 1998 Tarrant on TV highlighted a number of clips from The Jerry Springer Show (in fact it was the popularity of these clips on Tarrant on TV that led to the ITV Network buying the UK rights to air The Jerry Springer Show) and any upload of Tarrant on TV to youtube that feature clips from Jerry Springer are usually quickly gone. In fact there is one TH-cam Archiver that uploaded an episode of Tarrant on TV and in the description explains why there appears to be a jump cut, and that was because they cut out the whole section featuring the Jerry Springer Show to keep the video up.
And a final note on the one incorrect fact in your history of the show (and also for those in the comment's talking about Clive James and Margarita Pracatan) and that is that Clive James returned to host the show for two series in 1997 & 1998. This is wrong.
What actually happened was that Clive James left the BBC and set up his own production company (Watchmaker Productions) and returned to ITV to host and produce a chat show called 'The Clive James Show' with one series in 1997 and one in 1998 before it was cancelled. This was a chat show (not a clip show) and is so forgetable that a lot of people confuse the chat show with Clive James on Television (including the writer of the Wiki page for '..on Television/..on TV"). The only thing that people remember from 'The Clive James Show' is the joke that Margarita Pracatan would perform a song at the end of the show.
Hope this was informative and helpful. If you are looking for more UK clips show in a similar style to "...on Television/...on TV" then I suggest you look up a show called 'Carrott's Commericial Breakdown". This show is comicial adverts and commericials from around the world and is hosted by Birmingham comedian Jasper Carrot.

Happy birthday dude! Thanks for all your hard work! You're consistently one of the best at this, and have been for a number of years now.
+1 for Clive James - Tarrant was absolutely fine as a host for this, and I always watched it back in the day - but Clive's naturally funny and mildly acerbic commentary, and all round avuncular nature is what made this format work originally when he was hosting it. And Margarita Pracatan was a legend.

Happy birthday! I only remember seeing Tarrant present this, i watched regularly through the 90s. My favourite clips were in the earlier days and involved a Japanese game show called 'Endurance ', a better name would have been 'Torture', but the clips of that were hilarious.

    Happy Birthday!
I'm glad you're watching this. It's perfect for you as you mentioned.
It was a great show that, as far as I can remember, was really well-known and popular over all of the years it was on. I used to watch it in the second-half of the '90s and onwards even though I was at least a few years too young for it at first. It was a good way to see clips from a bunch of funny shows from around the world (and some risqué things on free TV for a young teen in the late '90s and early '00s... 👀), but as you saw a bit this ep, it would always have some more serious, thought provoking things which Chris would never joke about.
I watched the Tarrant version, as I was way too young for the Clive James years. I saw some of Jeremy Clarkson's which was pretty meh and no where near as good as the Tarrant years.

This show often had boobies in it, which would explain why not many episodes are on TH-cam.
