I have a Muhle synthetic. LOVE IT!!! It is exactly what I wanted from a brush after learning with an entry level badger. It is stiff enough to load soaps easy, super soft on the face. I am a big fan of the synthetics.
Love my synthetic brushes too. Started off using them as it seemed one less variable to worry about and stuck with it. Great shave. Still waiting on the Merkur......
I bought the same brush and there was a tiny issue but WCS's customer service is steller and was a easy piecey fix.The brush works great and looks nice also. Thanks for the video.
I have a boar and a badger but I always return to my three synthetics. I have two WCS and a Turn n Shave ghost knot brushes. I’ve learned over the years that simple is best when it comes to shaving.
The lather today was certainly a world of difference from last week with the other brush. Better keep that brush under lock and key, even I’m jealous haha
Thanks to you I’ve switched back to Barbasol like my dad and his dad used. (I did opt for the moisturizing formula one they offer because I’m getting older and the moisturizer helps keep the wrinkles at bay) I did try a brush but it seemed like a lot of bother. I did think about going back to using Old Spice aftershave like my Grandpa used but so far I’m addicted to Pinaud Clubman.
You posting this vid reminded me I needed to spend some xmas-money on some shaving products. I even ordered a men's perfume for myself, and restocked on some double-edged razor blades! That gif of you was great, by the way.
The feeling when you've been watching too many videos on this channel and you're thinking "man I gotta step up my shaving game" and you realize you're a girl and you don't grow a beard... 😂😂
Quick question to Lennon and all of you guys. I'm getting my first vintage DE Safety razor, it's a 1963 Gillette Slim Adjustable, I got it from a guy whose grandfather passed away so he got in possession of it. But the question is *How do I sanitize it?* is soaking it in Alcohol and boiling in vinegar good enough? I don't have access to Barbicide, because I don't live in the US, so that's what I've thought about doing. The razor itself is in amazing condition in it's original leather box so I don't think any cleaning and polishing is needed. Thanks in advance, guys!
All I do (and I have quite a few vintage razors) is use scrubbing bubbles and let it soak then use a tooth brush with antibacterial hand soap and scrub it with as hot of water as I can get from my tap. Then I'll let it sit in alcohol for a few minutes. I've never had any issues.
Have you tested the Haryali London Synthetic Shaving Brush? Ordered one from Amazon, reviews were very positive. Been useing the Blue Beard Badger Brush the last few years, stating to loose hair so figured it was time for a new brush, Takeing a chance on Synthtic.
Great shave man. Frank Shaving is good specifically their brushes. I also prefer synthetic brushes because they don't absorb your lather while you are shaving like the natural brushes do. Tomorrow I will be using the Leaf to give my Rockwell 6C a break before trying another one of my go to blades in it which is plate #2 with a Gillette 7 Oclock black label blade.
Would you be able to make a video on how you shave every day without getting cut? I have to let mine grow for a couple of days in order to avoid nicks and cuts.
Thank you for this review I just got mine yesterday and used it today. I have to say it was wonderful and it lathered my face really well. Are you shaving soaps by Prorasso and art of shaving. This made the art of shaving soap that much thicker and produced more lather
Nice vid, agree w synthetic brushes... I recently used a horse brush (took me long time to get rid of stink); first real use and the hairs tangled up....they I had to untangle w conditioner and a brush....like a girl combing her doll. Wasted some time fixing it.... And as you mentioned: synthetics: no need to dip long and easier to clean....
Dude that brush is awesome.. been working in Vegas and am only 3 1/2- 4 hours away from WCS think I’ll make a pilgrimage there to get one and try a couple of soaps.. don’t feel bad about that drawer, mine is smaller and just as full but that’s the only room I have in the bathroom due to restrictions imposed by my wife and teenage daughter/dungeon master..lol
OMG, I got a shoutout again!!! Can’t believe how popular I am becoming!! 😂🙈 Yes, I have watched all of your videos! When is the next live stream? Let us know in advance please 🙏🏼
SinatraLennon Thank you, much appreciated! I am thinking about getting the caffeinated shave cream for the hubby. Did you say it was from Target? He mostly uses Gilette gel in a can but I want him to use something with more natural ingredients 😀
SinatraLennon We mostly live at Walmart but I’m gonna have to make the trip to Target for that. I really like how quiet Target is compared to Wally world 😂 Or order online the lazy way 😎😁🙈
I realize it's been a couple of years.. but, do you still recommend this synthetic brush? What is the model or brand? I checked West Coast but can't find this one. Thanks.
Didn’t gain weight this holiday season, not because I didn’t eat a lot. The trick was to get sick right before the holidays so you’re starting at an “advantage” ugh 😂 So glad to read that a live session is incoming
Nothing wrong with using a synthetic, i even use a brush with my nivea shaving gel, when im in a rush because it spreads the lathered gel out more evenly than doing it by hand, the main thing is that you accept the safety razor as our Lord and saviour, and accept that we all have sinned in the past by using cartridge razors .
I have a recurring nightmare of burglars breaking into my house and steeling the stuff in my shave den! I've been eyeing that exact same brush from the Yaqi factory but they only had it with a badger knot. Might pick up this one from the West coast shaving website! PS Yaqi is the highest quality Chinese brand. l'm sure that West coast shaving brush was made in the Yaqi factory
I am the "ORIGINAL"Slim Jim....I have no fat pants....I have never had to drop weight...I hver between 160-165 lbs no matter how much I eat,,,,But of the crosses I have to bear as Dr Zachary Smith from the original "Lost in Space" TV series would say, "The PAIN! On the pain..." ;-)
You might want to look at the TH-cam vid which shows how the badgers are treated. It's horrendous and disgusting. After watching it I decided not to use my badger brushes and stick to my synthetics.
I know you didn't just pronounce gif wrong man. It's jif. "The debate over how to pronounce GIF, which stands for Graphics Interchange Format, re-emerged this week when Steve Wilhite, the inventor of the widely used Web illustration, declared it should be pronounced “jif,” like the brand of peanut butter, rather than with a hard G sound"
"Synthetic: It works right for me man" the new slogan ad for synthetic brushes!!
I have a Muhle synthetic. LOVE IT!!! It is exactly what I wanted from a brush after learning with an entry level badger. It is stiff enough to load soaps easy, super soft on the face. I am a big fan of the synthetics.
It’s amazing how entertaining a man shaving can be! Keep up the good work my man - from the UK 🇬🇧
Cheers!
I just ordered a synthetic brush from WCS. I hope it comes soon. Thanks for the video
Throw-back video..Nice!!
Love my synthetic brushes too. Started off using them as it seemed one less variable to worry about and stuck with it. Great shave. Still waiting on the Merkur......

You make a great point... Going to try that brush!
Seeing your videos, I ordered one for myself. Can’t wait for this one.
I don't know why but I love your shaving style!!!!!
I have a boar and a badger but I always return to my three synthetics. I have two WCS and a Turn n Shave ghost knot brushes. I’ve learned over the years that simple is best when it comes to shaving.
I agree completely!
Good looking brush, I will go and check them out. Synthetic brushes are for me also.
And cheap!
@@SinatraLennon Well I bought one of those synthetic brushes today in black
I started using cremo shaving cream 2 years ago and it’s so easy. I tried the brush and didn’t have much luck with the 2 soaps I used.
Cool brush and awesome video as always
The lather today was certainly a world of difference from last week with the other brush. Better keep that brush under lock and key, even I’m jealous haha

I like your style. Old school all the way.
Is this aqua blue?
We need another live video sometime soon. Coffee on the porch!

Very cool!

So this was the debut of your tried and true jolly rancher synthetic brush!
Great shave man. Frank Shaving is good specifically their brushes. I also prefer synthetic brushes because they don't absorb your lather while you are shaving like the natural brushes do. Frank Shaving brushes are excellent! You should look forward to them :)
Really?! Good. I’ll keep an open mind.
Great shave Mr bobross and you should use that plamolive shaving cream and thats one beautiful brush and what happened to your every man jack
I prefer this caffeinated one, plus I couldn’t find the Everyman Jack in the stores. They were always out!
Thank you for this review I just got mine yesterday and used it today. I have to say it was wonderful and it lathered my face really well. Are you shaving soaps by Prorasso and art of shaving. This made the art of shaving soap that much thicker and produced more lather
I know you're not a cartridge razor fan but you should shave with the mock 3 Just for kicks
Oh, I used one of those for years. That ship has sailed!

Ha! Happy wife, happy life and a tiny drawer.
SinatraLennon got that right brother.. shave on!!
You should eventually consider starting a podcast! Great channel!
I love podcasts but don’t know what I’d talk about!
OMG, I got a shoutout again!!! Can’t believe how popular I am becoming!! 😂🙈 Yes, I have watched all of your videos! When is the next live stream? Let us know in advance please 🙏🏼
I knew you’d like that! Next live stream? Don’t know yet.
SinatraLennon Thank you, much appreciated! I am thinking about getting the caffeinated shave cream for the hubby. Did you say it was from Target? He mostly uses Gilette gel in a can but I want him to use something with more natural ingredients 😀
Yep. Target. We seem to live at Target these days.

Great badger brush with epoxy handle you have. Looks very classy. How can i find it?
It’s a synthetic brush made from a synthetic badger. West Coast Shaving sells ‘em.
Would you do a podcast? or something similar?
HEB has $2off coupon for Nivea after shaves this week..... Cheers
I realize it's been a couple of years.. but, do you still recommend this synthetic brush? What is the model or brand? I checked West Coast but can't find this one. Thanks.
It should be linked in some recent videos.
"That's what she said"

Do they have it in purple or pink ??? The west coast brush that is
I saw a purple and black one and a rainbow one!

I don’t know! Soon...soon.
Surveys confirm that people who put their pants on one leg at a time prefer synthetic shaving brushes...😉
I thought everybody has a pair of fat pants...All the best Mark.
Ugh. Yeah. Sweat pants, here I come!
Give away your wilkinson sword razor:)

Sorry I had to pause the video to go and watch blade runner.
