You did good there buddy !! Ice stuck to hard surface is a bond that is overwhelming! I was plowing state highways with a 30,000 pd grader and the ice hardness lifted the front end of the grader up many times !! Absolutely could not peel it down to the pavement ! Rock On !! 🎸🎸🎸

Winter on the west coast is much warmer than the rest of Canada. If you drive to the north or northeast for about an hour you will be in the snow covered mountains. Two summers ago it was 43C/109F. Like the channel, keep up the good work ! @@smithworx1091
That didn't look like it was fun. No heat in the skid steer with temps in the teens no thank you. That ice is hard to clear but you did a great job. Glad to see that your dogs were feeling better. Y'all Be Safe Out There
@@smithworx1091 there were days that I would have to get off my machine and almost stand in the fire. I caught the legs of my coveralls on fire more than once.🤣
MM77 Approved 👍🏼👍🏼……………………………………………….LOL, yeah, it doesn’t snow much around here neither. ( South Eastern Virginia ) We usually get a couple of good ones a year, but they are usually gone in a day or two. They mention snow on the news, bread and milk disappear at the stores. Hey, you did the best you could considering you didn’t get much practice! LOL
@@smithworx1091 I have no idea! I grew up in the far southwest corner of Virginia, ( between Kentucky and Tennessee) in the mountains and we used to get POUNDED with snow all the time. LOL 🤔we did eat a lot of toast though! LOL
I despise pushing snow. It finally got to the point where I just don't do it anymore. Very seldom do we get one of those light fluffy snows that pushes easily. Most times, if we do get snow, it's a heavy, wet snow, or is really icy. It's just not worth tearing up my stuff.
I’m in Maine , and whether your in Maine or Mississippi ice is always a challenge. Most of the guys that plow driveways, parking lots, etc have electric sanders in their pick up beds. They carry sand /salt mixtures. When we have storms they fix a big thermos of coffee and head out. Most are out for 36 hour stretches at a time. It’s hard on you but you take the work as it comes.
I got around 8 inches at my business in Nashville this week. I pushed snow with skid steer and a hour later it looked like I hadn't touched it. Was snowing hard. Had freezing rain last night. I be glad when it's gone
That stuff is tough once it’s hard. Need to push while it’s coming down in my experience. Haven’t pushed much snow though. Been in the negative temps here and snowing. It’s nice to see but it’s cold and not fun anymore. 40 today and it felt nice.
Yeah I was thinking it's probably best to catch this stuff soon as it starts accumulating. It wasn't too bad today. But rain and might freeze over tonight
Usually on stuff like that up my way, we just get the heavy of it plowed off an the sun will do the rest, salt too, but yeah it's just impossible to get it to bare parking lot, good work bro an thanks for sharing 🇺🇲🤙💪👌✊👍 box blade would have worked good on the skid steer, but why put money into that when y'all don't hardly ever get snow or ice, we're supposed to get 4 to 6 tonight up here
Should have used a power rake, should have used a 4 in 1 bucket, should have used everything else but what you used.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 serious note you did the best you could with what you had and it looks better than when you first started. I'm the same down here in South Central NC. When we get snow or sleet like that we either just drive on it or we just stay home LOL
hey iam not gonna make fun of ya, i struggle removing snow as well, i live in NC and we dont see much either, its hard to justify investing in snow removal equiptment when we dont use it that often, maybe rent a snow pusher......(if you can find one in the south)...it is what it is!, that was an awsome shot of the 3500, that thing is a beast, stay warm brother!!!!
That’s not bad at all! A bucket is one of the most inefficient ways to remove snow and ice, and you made it look easy! That stuff just sucks to deal with, I think you did great with it! Sometimes driving a dozer over stuff like that works pretty good for busting it up. Probably not this situation but maybe in the future 😂😂😂
@@smithworx1091 One of the shops I worked at the store manager got so frustrated with all the ice that he had me take a sheepsfoot roller to most of the parking area and storage area. The box plow has a decent cutting edge on it but still probably does the same as a skid bucket with ice. Just the size of the box plow is SO nice!
