Awesome! Thought E in ES5 (for Eterna) stood for Efficiency or Effortless.
Throat- Great explanation on the throat length. I think Adams Euphoniums have a "gap" adjuster in their leadpipe design.
Yamaha has a different leadpipe on the new YBL-835, less gap/freer at the leadpipe.

This a great video, love how honest you are about the manufacturing process! Are you going to be expanding your euphonium line in the future?

This is something I've thought about and probably will in 2024. Thanks for watching.

Christan, have you found that the Yamaha bass leadpipes do better with mouthpieces that don't go in so far? I'm talking about the 822, with the shank eating pipe.

Exactly! It’s IS all about recovery! Spoken like a true cyclist! Haha! Thank you, Christian!

I think we need to think like athletes in music performance. So much to learn.

I'm a fan of Wedge mouthpiece - the rim feel is just terrific. The only minus point is, the 108 width is just a bit small and the 110 is a bit wide. So the 108 sounds a bit too aggressive and the 110 sound a bit tubby. I know Doug Elliot has a 109 rim width, but he refuses to consider either a Wedge rim or a .300" throat I like. Can you do a Wedge rim/cup with a 109 diameter and .300" throat? Would that be somewhere around a Markey 82? Oh, and I play a Yamaha Xeno 822g dependent bass trombone. The receiver is somehow wider/deeper and I seem to need a Remington type shank size, so the Yamaha receiver doesn't simply swallow the mouthpiece shank. I had that problem with a Griego Hecht I tried.
