Glad you enjoyed it. We were surprised by how nice it was up there. The observatory is really cool - you guys should take a drive and check that out sometime. Thanks for the comment!
Hi Bob and Dang. Thank you both for sharing with us your trip to Polamar. I love how pretty the drive was and enjoyed watching you both hike through the brush. Interesting the Observatory was. Plus, it's always nice to explore places near your home. Without driving so far. Some treasures are in our own backyard. Always my favorite watching and listening to you. Your information is always great. God Bless you both ❤. LOOKING SO FORWARD TO YOUR ALASKA TRIP. THATS GOING TO BE AMAZING. LOVE YOUR FRIEND Martha Camacho Me and my husband wanted to drive to Alaska too. !!
Hi Martha, great to hear from you again! Palomar was a lot of fun and its so accessible for us -I don't know why we waited this long to go there. We are really enjoying the trip to Alaska so far and need to get working on the videos - its hard to fine the time to shoot the content and make the videos too, but we will manage! We really appreciate your support and send our best wishes your way!
Wow you found another gorgeous location right nearby! Beautiful scenery and it looks like you could spend days checking out in the telescope/observatory! 👍👍❤️❤️
I know, we think observatories are very interesting. So fun that we could camp so close to it. you can take the trail all the way up but it was a bit overgrown for us on that day. Thanks for the ongoing support and we hope to cross paths with you one of these days. - Bob and Dang
Great thumbnail and fantastic opening. Your filming as you entered this campground was great and my goodness the dinner once again looked delicious. That looked liked a really good trail. This is a nice area we will keep it in mind for sure you are so lucky it is close by. The observatory looks like a great place to visit. Your narration is always spot on and the filming and editing was seriously good. You took us on a great tour and told a story from start to finish from prepping the rig to showing the trip , sharing the campground and your experience. Really good video from how the drive will be to all the great information on the campground and what to do. Seriously well done Bob and Dang!
Thanks so much you guys - we always appreciate your feedback. It was a good albeit short trip. Sometimes sneaking those in can be a lot of fun though :). Now we just need to figure out when we can work on editing up here in Ak. Its tricky because it stays light so late you think you have more time, but before you know it it's 11pm and not even fully dark yet.... You guys have a great next trip. we look forward to seeing the videos - and maybe we will run into you on our way back!
Thanks @campingforfoodiesKimHanna, I think periodically about replacing that stove just so we can get something newer/cooler... but what really changes with stoves and grills right ? We really appreciate all of your support and all the great food tips/recipes you have on your channel - we get a lot from that!
Oh loved this one, We dont mind mountain roads so this will be on our list if our motorhome can make it up there!! Such beautiful scenery. We just know we will love this area Thank you both for sharing
Sure a motorhome should make it just fine. We hope you let us know when you are in the area maybe we can meet up! Safe travels and thanks for the comment :)
@@bobanddangsjourney Aww that sounds perfect. Yes as soon as we get our visas we will get dates for when we will be shipping over and let you know of our plans. We look forward to meeting you both xx
It's impressive how much work you are able to do on the Trailer Bob! Very smart to bolster the brakes and supports ahead of the Alaska trip! Those skewers looked amazing but my guess was you were making seafood curry! Love the idea of visiting an Observatory, especially during a meteor shower. Great video guys!
Thanks so much... Seafood curry was a great guess and it could very well have been on any given day! If you guys find your way down here some time check out check out frye creek campground. Right across the street from the observatory campground. Perfect for your van and free too! Oh - and definitely drop us a line if you are heading this way for sure! Happy camping :)
Hello Bob and Dang, good call on the double site. Quick easy meal 👍. One day we'll get out to San Diego hopefully in our trailer. Thank you for sharing have a good day.
WoW ! What a great informative video. I'm sure you are glad you made those suspension modifications, and updated your brakes now that you have traveled some of the road in the Yukon Territory and Alaska. I've always wondered about the Palomar Observatory on Palomar Mountain. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you - it started as just a shakedown trip but we were pleasantly surprised at the campground. The observatory is really fun to visit - if you get to that neck of the woods you might explore it. Man this rain up here in AK has been rough - they are saying 3rd wettest start to an August in history... We are hanging in Seward now and will head to Homer on Sunday. Where are you guys at ?
@@bobanddangsjourney We went 30 miles into the Denali Highway (dirt & gravel road) with the intention to dri-camp at the BLM site there at Brushkana Creek, and shoot some photos of the Alaska Range. We have been deluged with constant rain since arriving at the camp. Gonna possibly drive out tomorrow for Talkeetna if the road lets us. Mosquitoes and Rain, what more could a camper ask for?
What a unique campground with those telescope spots as well. By the way, those kabobs looked amazing and I hope you didn't just jinx yourself with saying the Coleman's going to last forever 🙂 as always, enjoyed the video and can't wait to see your adventures in alaska- Kyle and Michelle
Thanks Kyle, that was a lot of fun camping there and checking out the observatory was very cool. I know I probably jinxed that grill, but honestly if I did well it had a good run :). Safe travels to you and Michelle!
That was cool, Roxanne and I love visiting observatorys. Kit mountain in NM is very cool. To bad you didn't get to finish your hike. Looking forward to your Alaskan trip.
This is a great place to visit. There is another campground (we will have a 360 degree virtual on it too) that if I had a van like you guys I would camp there instead - really cool with a creek running through much of it. Its called Fry Creek Campground and if you guys come down I would recommend checking that out. Its more of a boon-docking type deal. No fee on that one I think. But alas we cannot get the trailer in there :(. Thanks for the continued support and if you guys do find your way down here please drop us a line!

Definitely a must-do camping trip and a visit to the observatory, and we live locally too. Thanks for the great coverage!
Thanks for watching and the comment! It is definitely fun - it feels much further from home than it is :). Take care!

Fun trip! I have to agree that old Coleman stoves and grills seem like they last forever 😊 I need to make kabobs again soon.

Love that area where i grew up... Wait... I got older, not sure i grew up... Also, used to make that a motorcycle day ride out of Yuma. Thank you!
Thanks, that would be a great day ride from yuma, and the elevation would be a nice change too. Appreciate the comment and happy riding!
