We are biological beings. We need food, shelter and water. As we get older we have sexual desires. That drives us to look for a mate. We are hungry, thirsty and driven to reproduce. That is not in our control. We can limit how much certain desires affect our lives. So self discipline plays a part. As a philosopher myself, we can't escape the Matrix that is the world. Nobody is completely free. So thinking less and living more is the best balance. Knowing more does not make us happier just because we understand the mechanisms the makes things happen. So in the end, do these tests have any real value? Humans will be humans regardless what we believe. The drive to reproduce is the strongest desire. Hence why the population keeps growing. Sex is pleasurable. No surprise there. So we are really on autopilot. Making different choices and trying different activities can allow us the break out of the boredom of life.

Unfortunately, not much. Because of school, stress, competition, and emotionality. We fill kids brains up with WAY TOO MUCH concerning information like WARS, history, concepts like FREEDOM. Sciences, math. It all boggles curiosity. If we just let them be themselves who knows what kind of power would develop. I think we should let them play and be kids till like 7-8 years old. Then put em in school ALL YEAR but make it less of a day. 4-5 hours instead of 10 it ends up being. 🧠😬💯

Humans have a negativity bias so are basically kind of a bit insane, teenagers are worse, we tend to hardwire more experiences that are negative than positive ones...yet children don't have it so much before the teenage years, happy and fun lil things, they are just more open, more neuroplasticity no doubt. So holding space or what Jesus taught as self forgetfulness actually brings us back to being more like that. Keeps us open for wisdom to come as well. Maybe even just changing the routine we do each morning would help keep us more flexible. I might look into how to keep us more neuroplastic now but I would guess changing habits daily probably would, use a different hand for tasks etc. I think our bias with people is the worst bias to have but we all do it.
