Korg Poly-61 vs. Monome Norns Shield.

Two beautiful sounding instruments and a brief example of evolution of code in synthesis:
Poly-61 “was the first affordable synthesizer to feature two oscillators per voice, and was Korg's first synthesizer to feature digitally-controlled analog oscillators (DCOs)”.
Norns can be many sound instruments: sample-cutter, polysynth, algorithmic drum machine, drone box, granulator, asynchronous looper, polyphasic sequencer, and more. In its core is “a small, portable, open-source sound computer that dynamically runs scripts and DSP (Digital Signal Processing)”.
