Great video! It's good to get a real life view of line work. It's also good to see that line crews and linemen are the same pretty much everywhere you go. The word family pops up when you're around line crews. It's because you spend more time with the folks you work with than your own family. The lineman from Hawaii put it very well when he said outside of the gate you may not like the man you're working with but inside the gate he's your best buddy. It has to be that way. You cover his back and he covers yours. You do keep up with the guys that you work with during hurricanes and storms as they walk in the door to help and are a blessing and you know that if something happens to their area you will be glad to go help them. You get to know each other on the fly and very quickly. A couple of days in and you figure out that people are the same for the most part across the country. A salute from me to all my brothers known and unknown out there keeping the lights on. Stay safe and take care of your families, at home and at work.
then linemam from El paso is a third generation lineman very proud of him his dad a 45 year retired lineman great job to all fellow linemen god bless an take care
I did gruntwork when I got out of the Army, and worked summers while in college. I got enough of a taste of linework to realize I never wanted it as a steady diet, but I'm glad there's people who do.
