3:45 She's feeling all the love that they are showing to her
      and she's moved and touched.
      Edit
Many people have told me that she's crying because she's traumatized.
I may be wrong, but this how it seemed to me.
I would have been touched by the support and love of all these people.

I really wish they would have done it more low key..i mean its clear ro see she wasnt really ready for all that. I know her parents had the very best intentions but even she said herself she was not ok at that moment. Just wrap her up safe in ur house and let her heal b4 throwing her infront of a ton of people. She just went thru hell and back and is emotionally spent. Heat breaks for that hurt little girl. Glad shes doing better now

*Adults never need a child's help!!* Normal people don't ask children for help, and I have drilled that into my kids head since she was old enough to comprehend. If an adult asks you to help find his puppy or kitten, you run. If they ask for directions, you run. If the stop next to you, you run. If they talk to you, you run. Adults have no business talking to children in the absence of other adults. Period.

Yes! And with all the human trafficking going on, I want to say that real men in distress will never even approach a single lone female or even a group of women for help, esp in some dark corner of a parking lot. A man with good intentions will not ask you to help him in any way, but esp not driving him somewhere.

Wittney R I approached a man in distress in a dark parking lot this summer and he was so shocked by it he didn’t speak at first. I had been sitting on the curb in the far corner of a parking lot smoking while my husband was inside paying for gas and the man pulled in with his muffler scraping against the ground and towing a boat. I knew we had metal zip ties in my truck so I walked over and grabbed one. When I walked up to him he was under the car so I crouched down and offered it to him. He was so shocked that I was there so quickly with exactly what he needed that at first he just stared at me with his mouth open but quickly thanked me profusely. I’m sure he thought I was a guardian angel the way he looked at me. I’m sure it wasn’t the smartest thing to do but I saw a person in need and I had the perfect solution so I couldn’t resist. Him being under the car seemed like a safe enough opportunity to approach him. But I could tell he didn’t want my help at first.

She had lots of ID. Turns out it was all stolen as well as her . car.About a month later I had a colt being operated on and was just killing time when I visited another Western Store. There she was pulling a scam on them. I got the owners attention and he called the law. She had a 357 magnum in her purse. Rifle in the car, drugs, money, drug scales and jewelry. $300. a day drug habit. I got some of my money back. Rochelle when you say; “God was there to protect her.” You do mean well, you mean ( it’s amazing she made it out alive.) right? Cause honestly it was a miracle. God is amazing and he always is with us, even when we are not fortunate in these worlds eyes. Those 15 other girls that were killed God was protecting them, not just from this monster, but from the future they would have to face. So when you said “God was protecting her, the families of those that weren’t so fortunate in our world, feel crushed. Like if God wasn’t protecting them. Though I know what you meant. This just made me open my eyes that I should be grateful to a complete stranger.
In yr 8 ( england school ) I was walking to my friends house to walk to school with her. This guy asked what time it was but he whispered it so I couldn't hear. So me being the innocent 13 yr old I was kept getting closer to try and hear what he was asking me really quietly. This other man could obviously see what was going and realised something was off so he ran up and told him the time coz he could hear from were he was standing.
Looking back now if it wasnt for that other man I probably wouldnt have made it 3 more doors up to my friends house.

Running saved my life. I was close to being kidnapped myself. I went to the same school as her, and lived around the corner from her house. Luckily, I was walking home from school with my Grandma. She was not too far behind me, so as soon as he tried to talk to me, my whole being told me to RUN. I ran back to my Grandma as fast as I could and told her right away. My Mom and I went to report it to the school and we filed a police report. Then shortly after, she was kidnapped. Stay safe, please! I (a female) always wanted to get a 2nd job delivering pizzas or something like that. I never had enough nerve cuz I knew I'd have to go to someone's front door. Who knows who and what and how many are inside? Once that doors opens, it's very easy to just pull you in, then you're stuck and at their mercy. Maybe you should call someone at each delivery stop, let them know you're going up to the door, let them know you got back to the car. It would probably get old after a while. The person might fall asleep and not answer, then not know til it's too late that anything happened. Nothing is foolproof. I thought about taking my dog (pit bull/rottweiler), but they could pull me in quick and leave my dog on the porch, poison/kill my dog. I wish it could be safer. I hope you are safe. I just realized you're a male after I wrote this. Now I feel stupid, but you still need to be careful. You're carrying money, and people know that. Be safe.

1.) Leaving her to walk alone at only 8 yrs old.

3.) Not considering her mental/emotional state when continuing with plans for (large) birthday party, as if nothing happened - even continued cheerfully singing while she was crying!

When I was 5 years old I was riding my bike on the street where I lived. It was a semi busy road and I was at a corner where it intersected a cul-de-sac. A man in a big brown van pulled up to the side of the road and leaned over a bit, rolling down his passenger window. "Hey little girl, do you know if this is Union Ave?" He asked, glancing from side to side. "Yes" I said "you're on Union Ave" "What?" the man replied, " I didn't hear you can you come a little closer?" I took two steps closer and he asked again. I could see him sliding across towards the door, his hand outstretched for the handle. I pointed to the street sign which was clearly just a few feet from where his truck was, it was clearly in his view . After the second time he asked me to come closer I got on my bike and peddled as fast as I could home, he sped away, tires screeching as he pulled off. That man was going to abduct me. My mother always told me no matter what someone says, even if they tell you, your mother is in the hospital and she's dying; she sent me to get you; you have to come with me right now... do not believe them! Never under any circumstances go with a stranger. If my mom hadn't taught me that, I might not be here today. Now that I have a daughter myself, I know to tell her the same thing. For years I would ride my bike past those tire marks in the street and a chill would run up my spine.

I started to walk home alone at 9 in a half, I’m 14 now. My elementary school was 2 blocks from my house and my mom would watch me through the window until she knew I was at school. Then she stopped watching because I was getting older. Then I graduated and started middle school. I remember I was a bit scared to go to school by myself the first day but eventually it was easy and I wasn’t worried thinking what if I was lost. I think parents should start to let them walk alone but also keep an eye out yk? I mean anything could have happened to me while crossing the streets going to school, luckily my mom was still able to see me but from a distance. It’s good she would let me become independent but also make sure I was safe.

I refused to let my kids walk to school when they were little. When my son took the school bus, i walked him to the bus stop and picked him up from there every day. Something happening to one of my kids has always been my worst fear. I was almost killed twice by the time i was 8 (living in an abusive household) so i think because of that, i always fear the worst and try so hard to protect my kids from everything. My youngest is 15 and i barely let him start walking to school by himself this year. I still worry so much though because a friend from high school's son was hit by a car crossing the street and died last year. He was 16. I know around a school it's probably even more likely to happen because there is a higher number of inexperienced teen drivers there. Then there is always the possibility of a school shooting. I just pray that God protects my kids always.

please if you are a parent and you read this, remind your children, not to talk to strangers, to not go near cars unless you say its ok. and to tell you their secrets.. i hope through awareness less children will experience this. watch your children, please dont let them go outside alone. you should not trust a child with their precious life
. trust no one.. child abusers can look like good nieghbours on the outside. x

You should also teach your children to not keep secrets from adults and teach a respect for their bodies, as unfortunately most predators and molestors are close to the children, often even family members.

I escaped from a car, I just opened the door and ran into a friend's house screaming. I don't know what would of happened but this guy pulled up near my school, said my father sent him, so I got in. I started to think after I had got in the car, that it felt wrong and when I was in eyeshot of my own home and said "this is it" he turned the indicator in the wrong direction and that's when I bailed. Maybe he was my father's friend but my father never sent him. My mother was so proud of me.
