They had a slight clue I guess in that Marvel had already said at that time if Ironman was a success then they would start rolling towards a full on Avengers movie one movie at a time. I remember just how amazing and mind blowing that felt at the time first reading that online back then. Seems like nothing nowadays but so much was resting on Ironman, only now can we appreciate just 'how much'

That is also because they are real. I don't want to shame cgi for ruining everything, i know marvel does practical stuff a lot actually, but the cgi suits always look soo fake. Especially spiderman, they made the real suit which looked awesome, because it wrinkled and everything and looked real. But then they paint over this super tight suit which is so unrealistic, that as much as they try to make it look real with shaders, oir brain still thinks they are odd and unreal

Im a bit of a comic/general nerd, like the rest of us. But something that ALWAYS bring me joy, was a friend of mine who is an even bigger nerd that I could possibly hope to be; and his reaction when this movie was being made, and when it came out, and when he first saw it, was that of a kid on christmas. I havent talked to him for years, but I wonder how things have been for him, esp with the lead up to endgame.

I think it would take too much time if they still used practical for later film and the current CG i think looks ok. Also Marvel still many practical stuff in GOTG and Captain Marvel.

@@kaimargonar1000 then make the time? release one movie a year instead of three, honestly when you compare the budgets and time its sad that the iron man suit here looks 100x better than infinity war. its fine until tony takes his helmet off and then it just looks so fake. the point i'm making is that marvel has always used lots of cg, but they used to make practicals first and base the cg on them. now they design in cg

@@jamesduffy7549 Wew you so want them to alter the whole plan just to do practical ? Knowing how profitable MCU, it's impossible.
Also how do you know they do the design in CG first not like the early process of the original ? Were you there in the pre production stage ?
Iron Man armor are supposedly be more and more advanced like in the comic (bleeding edge armor n the one in ANAD) i think the movie did justice to it.
Lastly, maybe its subjective, but to me the armor in the first 2 IM movie, now looks like something cheap they showcase in a mall.
