David Klasser breaks down the Tech Disc's numbers and what they mean for disc golfers across the world!
Seekr has trained hundreds of disc golfers and captured thousands of throws from MA1, MA2, MA3 players, and even the top MPO and FPO players.
Our database and training program allow us to take the data and make meaningful recommendations to help players level up their game.
If you have a tech disc right now, you can actually book an online lesson with us at our website and enter in your disc disc numbers for an analysis and an interpretation of what they mean.

I wished you elaborated on the "less spin, more glide on the disc"... glide is always a good thing if ya want distance ;)

I’m glad somebody brought this to market. I wanted to develop this concept years ago with a buddy out of college but we couldn’t get the numbers to work.

This is awesome. It's expensive but awesome. Is there an ultra low tech version that just chirps or something so I can find my disc?

Let’s use this for indoor VR disc golf! Some of us don’t want to play winter rounds 🥶

@@seekrdiscgolf very cool! Would you ever look at licensing this tech to manufacturers so they could put them right into the discs during the injection molding process?

Yeah like those golf simulators with the screen.

Exactly what I was thinking. Make a beautiful VR game and use this tech for realistic mechanics!

Order (fairway) is in after trying it once. Hooked. 2nd order from buddy (driver) is in. Hoping for a bundle in the future. P.s. any net recommendations?

Going to attempt here as well. So I paid the 7.99 to start the seekr disc golf training but the app doesn’t work. I have sent to emails to the email address listed on the email I received when I signed up. Either can I get some help or a refund if your team is not going to respond? Thank you

Me personally i thinks its like a scale, and its based on designed optimal flight of a disk, specific to its turn fade and glide. Dont think you can put a specific mph on each rating becuase of all the variables so i use them as a reference! If you.jave a disk with negitive one turn and can hyzer flip it, you probably should go down one speed flight number

Can you explain how and why the "speed" number in a disc means?
I've heard it's arm speed. I've heard it's flight speed. I've heard it's the speed of the spin.
If it's the speed of flight, there should be a MPH number attached.
If it's arm speed, there should be correlating MPH, too.
And if it's spin speed, there should be an RPM associated.
And these should be specific to the flight number. A 5 speed disc would have a specific MPH number range.
You said a 13 speed disc won't perform as intended at 50 MPH. But you didn't say how fast a 13 Speed disc needs to go.
    Is this because nobody knows?
I'm sorry, but there's NOTHING about discs that can't be measured. Speed, spin, turn, glide, fade, and distance are all easily and readily measurable.
I feel like flight numbers are either complete horse shit, or completely misunderstood. And if that's the case, someone is withholding information. That's not likely, so I'm pretty sure it's just arbitrary garbage designed to sell more discs.
Otherwise everyone would explain these numbers the same way, yet everyone explains them inconsistently.
    Am I wrong?

Not long ago, all makers started using the same flight rating system. As for the numbers and what they actually mean, it’s basically just a rating system. And absolutely there are some discs numbers don’t represent their actual flight characteristics that well. Buts it’s basically a benchmark that needs to be taken loosely. You still get an idea on what type of disc it is by its numbers but in the end, it’s trial and error and research. The speed rating is just that…a rating. I am not sure what arm speed needs to be to throw a 13 speed but I would imagine it’s over 65mph easily. Cool thing about the app is it does have a simulator that lets you play with different disc numbers and also adjust the 6 parameters and you can see what your flight might look like. Not taking wind into account of course.
