I'm 67 Retired at 62 gave up life in America and moved to the Philippines....I ride a ebike and love it... camping and no stress....if I like an area I stay a day week or month... don't even wear a watch anymore.
The burrito looks delicious! I love Ellie's warm, comfortable bed! The Kettle River path and creeks are beautiful. What an incredible Creator we have! 🙏
Looks like a great place to camp. Maybe put down a thick tarp on the tent floor to avoid the mud. Maybe one bigger than the circumference of the tent that you could cover up the gap at the bottom. That's something to consider in future winter tent camping.
I'm glad you didn't let Ellie do a polar bear plunge into the river. She's a waterdog that loves to swim in any season. Her sleeping bag was so incredibly cute.

Personally, I think it's kinda nuts to go camping in a tent in the winter! And the sides didn't even touch the ground to try and block the wind from whistling through!
Oh, my goodness! I'll just have to live vicariously through you. I never found camping to be appealing, but it's actually kinda nice to see what other people do and see them enjoying it.
Overall, i find your videos rather soothing. And it's always good to see Ellie!

This was such a relaxing video. The tent and stove looked very comfortable. I know it takes a lot of work to set it all up. I appreciate the effort you put into the videos. The reminder of the deer flies from this last spring triggered my fight or flight response. I'll probably have nightmares tonight.

I liked your tent camping video, having been a tent camper as a child, and with my children and grandchildren for years. Consider using a tarp if the tent doesn’t have a bottom. It’s great that Ellie obeys when you tell her no. Your videos are always very enjoyable, and Ellie is a wonderful dog. Thank you.

i found this calming. No phones or cars. Just a cozy fire a dog, and a flowing river. While I don't know if I'd ever csmp like that during winter, it is cool to learn that it is possible. I'd love to see more.

Hi Jack and Ellie. Such a beautiful place. Love the weather out there it's beautiful. A company needs to see you one of there hot tents with a floor on the bottom to keep all of your stuff nice and dry. The sound of the river. That is what we heard every night at the cabin in Bragg Creek, Alberta. We were that close to the Elbow River.

To be really honest I like it better when you're using the bike camper. Its just more comfy than lying on the cold earthen floor, just like a small house.

Great post! I continue to enjoy your beautiful filming and editing. The river is so peaceful and beautiful and I love Ellie's sleeping bag. So cute! Seeing you sleep in that tent with no floor and all the mud brought back so many memories of camping in the rain. Everything always just felt cold and damp and honestly those were miserable nights in the tent. The stove looked fabulous and I'm sure it made it feel as cozy as it could feel. It's amazing all of the different things they have now for camping. What you said about stress is so true. Sometimes it's very challenging to let go and let God. Your posts are a stress reliever for me. God's creation, beautiful scenery and nature. Thank you.

You are so good at building the cabins, I think a bike trailer wouldn't be too hard to make, or you could look into a motorcycle trailer. Ellie sure looks good and she seemed happy in her sleeping bag.
Thankfully the bike cabin is still operational 👍🏽👍🏽 it was my utility trailer that broke down on this trip

Yes do sprinkle in some camping adventures as we love camping ourselves and we are both nearly 70 years old. Of course we camp in Caravan and Camping Parks with toilets, showers etc and try to have some creature comforts of home in our large tent but we still love the outdoors so much. I love the wind and fresh air and just the relaxing lifestyle. We bought both of our children up camping and they still both do it with their own families. Maybe a ground cover under your tent would help with it not to be muddy or damp. We always have one as it keeps our tent in good order. We don’t camp in summer here as we are having a very hot summer of temperatures in the 30’s up to 40’s degrees Celsius and it’s just way too hot in a tent but for the rest of the year it’s awesome. Love watching you Ellie and the family on each video, best wishes form Perth, Western Australia.

Great video Jack, I love your cabin adventures best but it's fun and fresh to mix things up with a different kind of experience. The mud inside the tent in this one looked grim to spoiled, pampered old me! But it's only through new experiences, that we get new perspective on the old and familiar.
I've been so worried about your dear Ellie since her recent near miss with water at a different location. I know you love her dearly as the family member she is, and take beautiful care of her. It was reassuring to hear you address the water danger, in this subsequent adventure.
LOVED her cute canine sleeping bag and sleep pad, it's great manufacturers have realised our pets can be a key part of outdoor experiences, and address their equal need for warmth and protection from the elements. In our region in Germany snow becomes very rare for the last decades. Tomorrow we have a snow warning and even schools will be all closed 😅😅I will love to see some snow again!
I have one question about that tent. Why is it all open at the bottom? Wouldn´t a closed tent keeps you warmer inside?

Hi!! First off, I hope you all got your snow day today!! And to your question, I really have o idea why it’s open like that. I was surprised as well. This was actually the first time that I’ve used it. I think you’re supposed to stack snow against it perhaps. I’ll try that next time 😁👍🏽
