I love how Hoyo used the title from Emily Dickinson's poem, ("Hope" is the thing with feather) where the poem itself describes "hope" as a bird that is everywhere with everyone, never stops flying "And sings the tune without the words". It fits Robin's name, design and overall character as the "bird" that brings "hope" imo 😊
Just got done with the boss fight with our mandatory Imaginary TB, Xueyi, SW, and Gallagher and this song *_genuinely_* made the whole boss fight feel like the ending fight to a movie Edit: I now use ff, rm, htb, and gallagher
This reminded me of the final episode of the anime where at the end there is a final battle against evil. I liked it so much that I bill the boss dancing in front of the computer 😅
I was initially dismissive of the boss fight in penacony because of the sheer story factor of cocolia and the scale of Phantylia. I'm happy to say that this boss has dethroned both of their moments especially since it really felt like I initially lost the "true" ending by the credits rolling a little bit after the fight. It was so hype and the personal stake robin adds onto this boss was just stellar! Man Shaoji is amazing...
yeah this boss fight felt so much more emotional than any other boss fight. Like fighting Sunday was even more bittersweet than fighting Aventurine was to me, and I don't even LIKE Sunday.
Cause unlike the last two worlds you aren’t fighting a mindless monster. Your fighting a man with flawed ideals a lot of us would escape to the world of PENACONY if we had the choice to forever enjoy the sweet false dream but in the end we must keep moving forward
Something very symbolic about the last fight is that it was basically a duel between the order and the trailblaze, 2 dead gods still fighting for what they consider right, but inbthe end the trailblaze wins and the order dies with Sunday too
@@dadian803 I like how it fits directly into when Welt talks about Kevin's story with Acheron. He "failed" because humanity moved forward, they did the impossible against all odds and flew ever higher. The difference is, Kevin understood that he was always going to lose going in, but it was worth it because it would give the world a future again. Sunday never realized until the end, when he was already being defeated by his own sister among others, that people need to be able to blaze their own trail forward, no matter what comes or what tragedies await.
Sunday is the most sympathetic villain so far, Cocolia was corrupted & too far gone, Phantylia was plain evil. Sunday despite everything only had good intentions throughout and has high level of empathy for humans in general, to the point of obsession over how humans shouldn't have to suffer due to circumstances and human nature. Of course he's a control freak with a saviour complex, but it all stems from his desire to relieve suffering
Empathy is a source of individual suffering as they suffer from the pain of the others. I don't think empathy is a gift but a curse to have in this cruel world. If only I am an apathetic person, will I continue my life without feeling of others pain an suffering through my life.
Reminds me of Suedou from Digimon Cyber Sleuth, he had a similar goal to Star Rail's Sunday. In Suedou's case, it was "erasing negative emotions from humans" so they no longer suffer. Both villains dictate how people should live their lives, both had a plan to eliminate all suffering, both attempted to have a god-like state to achieve that goal, and both don't care the price to achieve that "Utopia" free from suffering. As long as the end goal happens, they do not care the price to be paid for achieving that "Utopic" plan of theirs to achieve

5 seconds to reach unprecedented levels of hype. 2 to think “What if we slammed the express into him?” *THEN THEY ACTUALLY SLAMMED THE EXPRESS INTO HIM LIKE HOLY SHIT*
It's not likely the actual Express, but rather a projection of The Will of the Trailblazer, in the form of a VERY long Train. Either way, it's pretty epic.
I love that what makes this so chilling is that we've been through motivation-y, and intense battle osts and then hoyo just slaps a POWER OF FRIENDSHIP emotional ost while we a fight a deluded brother with a sister so eager to save her brother🤧😭
This song not only references the American poem of the same title by Emily Dickinson, but also is inspired by said poem. Having listened to songs from Casting Crowns, Citizen Way, and Sanctus Real, it really sounds like a Christian worship song. Also this song is really a testament to Christianity as well, given the themes from Genesis 1:1-3, and Ena + Xipe (Old + New Testament). It's interesting how Hoyo touches upon the Christian faith, from Genshin's Genesis 6:5-13, and now HSR's Genesis 1. As a Catholic, this song is really powerful and key to understanding Sunday and the Order.
This was incredible. With 7-8 hours streaming of doing the whole 2.2 Trailblaze Mission, reaching this moment was truly peak. Thank you Penacony and Hoyoverse for bringing out an amazing finale for this mission.

1:00 I thought it sounded like "Across the blazing galaxy" but it was actually "plains and valleys deep" 😭 I'll still hear the first one because it fits better for the astral express.
I absolutely love this so much. I truly don't think hoyoverse can EVER TOP THIS. The moment was so perfect. I love the Christian allegory with everyone fighting against the false God that Sunday tried to create. He wanted heaven on earth (Penacony) and didn't realise that suffering makes life worthwhile. There was a lot of philosophy about that, and to top it all off, his ultimate attack is taken from Faust - a play about a pact with the devil. Robin and the harmony represent the religion so well. Robin is the little dove and angel.
"suffering makes life worthwhile" is the wrong conclusion. Both Sunday/Robin acknowledge this in their argument. The difference lies in that Sunday thinks there is no future without self-value, whereas Robin (and the express crew) believe there is no future without self-agency.
@@hohens7118That is interesting, it's a take you don't see much in games or media in general. Both of their opinions are actually so close to each other, although I can't remember what lines validate their opinions in the story...

2:30 is the best part for me. I cried sm :(( especially when the piano part played when Sunday was falling then robin catching him. I mean, the whole boss fight in general was so emotional, you can really feel the hope of everyone there. This song catches just that. Good job Hoyoverse and Honkai Star Rail!! This update was a blast. Penacony is my favorite update yet!!
The transition from the boss theme to this song when I thought I was going to lose, and then on the next phase you get the vocals too... my god it was so peak. From the moment I heard this song in the livestream I knew it was going to played at the climax of Penacony, so perfect for it. I love this song.
THIS IS BY FAAAAR THE BEST SONG FROM ROBIN, it was so much more emotional during the story 😭 I was legit afk just listening to it for a while in the fight xD
I think that as trailblazers, this mission is not just a story, it is a message to all players, this is not just a mission. It is a teaching that they wanted to transmit to us through such beautiful and complex characters, the meaning of life with Aventurine (other characters, included) and the meaning of living it with the end. It is a beautiful mission, which will remain in the heart of the trailblazers, who live around the world, raising their hands towards the future!
This final story quest is truly a masterclass... the script, the cinematics, the staging, the English voice actors who gave their all, and what can I say about that last boss fight... Robin's intervention gave me chills the likes of which I've rarely experienced in a video game (Last time it was on wow during the lich king expansion, long time ago...). And sending an imaginary star rail into the boss's face is something else too 😂.

Yet another banger from Chevy as Robin. Looking forward to the next song already
This is gonna be my gym/run song, we men fw this sm!
the homies will know i fuck with this
“Witness!…the will of the WEAK” - Himeko ❤
When Robin starts her melody at the second phase i already fell emotional, but when third phase hits tear burst😭Peak HSR
So filled with hope 🙏 ☺️ ❤️ 💕 😊 😌 Robin is a total angel 😇 ❤️ 💖 💗 ♥️ 💕
The kind of song that starts playing after the anime villain beats the mc's ass then they start getting up and start talking about their friends.
Can't wait for this song to be performed live by Chevy
Absolutely amazing!
This was incredible. With 7-8 hours streaming of doing the whole 2.2 Trailblaze Mission, reaching this moment was truly peak.
Thank you Penacony and Hoyoverse for bringing out an amazing finale for this mission.
When the MC said "this is our Honkai" and star railed (literally) all over Sunday while Robin was singing this in the background ✍️🔥🔥
WE PUTTING THE HARM IN HARMONY WITH THIS ONE 🗣🗣
WHAT THE FUCK IS AN ORDER RAAAAHHHHH 🗣🗣🗣🗣
Just finished the story and my god how do they keep on one upping themselves on how good it is.
Wildfire has a really tough competition with this one
Wildfire isn’t even competition.
Belobog and Cocolia got dusted by this
@@MrShamus22shattered ice 😏
@@MrShamus22both deliveries the same way
Both exceeded people expectations by making us deeply emotional through the fight
While wildfire is hype and desperation
This is a rally of hope and freedom
It feels like an first opening song being played at the final moment of the anime where the protag is winning

This song hits different now after playing through the latest Trailblaze Mission
I was so excited when I heard this in the Preview. I don't know how u got this when its supposed to be released tomorrow but THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! its so good and such refreshing to hear aaa
anyones here after the last boss fight?? THIS SONG IS PEAK
im here
THIS IS GOING TO BE MY LOOP FOR A WHOLE DAYYY ✨✨
WE ARE WINNING OUR 50/50'S WITH THIS ONE 🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
1:00 I thought it sounded like "Across the blazing galaxy" but it was actually "plains and valleys deep" 😭
I'll still hear the first one because it fits better for the astral express.
True.
Trailblaze = Blazing
And galaxy in the lyrics is so much more fire
to be fair, a train moving across valleys and plains is also very train imagery
This has been the best story arc so far. And the Sunday fight with this jamming in the back ground made it a memorable moment. Very well done
This is such a Bop. Just finished the Trailblazer Quest and this scene was so emotional. 10/10 Quest and Song.
Hoyoverse proving again that they're secretly a music studio.
It really felt like we were wrapping up the story with this one. Amazing story !
I’ve played HI3 and HSR since day one and this moment in the game is the only time I’ve truly wished to experience it for the first time again.
2:30 bro why did this part make me cry so hard I know its just a song but the song in like a part of me 😢
Sunday : Nah, I'd win
Robin : *Sing*
Sunday : Oh oh
Robin: sings
Sunday: disorderly noise!
pencaony finally ended, i set this song to always plays in the express, and when the story finally ends and this song plays again, it is so satisfying
I fell in love with this song the second I heard the demo, now that I'm hearing the full version I'm absolutely obsessed!
THIS HELPED ME GET SUNDAY THANK YOU ROBIN
No. 1 on the Penacony pop charts, Luofu pop charts, Belobog pop charts and Herta Space Station top 10.
I LOVE THIS SONG
NEVER before has a boss just had every damn weakness
they pulled out all the stops and it was so cool
Well if you didnt succeed on breaking the weakness either you die or be so low hp anyway so it balances out
I cant stop to listen

If Hoyo cooks like this again,I will top-up my account
I’m once again reminded why I love star rail so much
This was such a good finale omg
Gotta love Robin. This gives me the vibes back when I was at Coachella and Edm concerts.
I like how HSR has an amazing fully realized space idol beloved throughout the universe with Robin writing pretty much the most peak songs in HSR's OST. And Genshin has... Barbara.
And riot.... Had seraphine
The different tiers of idols...
@@tencive5749sera isnt a space idol and most of her lore is stuck with a skin
LoR redeemed her quite alot but still she only have 2 official music (that isnt kda and i know off) and both isnt really heard that much and outside the game.
@@nekorisakirisame1323 because the LoL community hated Seraphine and boycotted her songs for a crystal scorpion

In my opinion the most emotive part of this is the trailblazer doing that pose and hitting sunday with the train. Its just.... wow...
@@jorgexd8385 TRUE. That too! No.. the whole fight in general!!
AGREE
This quest was so beautiful 😭
2.2 story quest was fucking amazing, it got literally everything and every character appearance
I love the part when trailblazer said “It’s Star Rail time” then proceeds to star railing sunday. What an absolute cinema
Stupidest shit I've heard in a while
The transition from the boss theme to this song when I thought I was going to lose, and then on the next phase you get the vocals too... my god it was so peak. From the moment I heard this song in the livestream I knew it was going to played at the climax of Penacony, so perfect for it. I love this song.
Shaoji did it again for 2.2. Absolute GOAT + Peak + Cook. Can't wait for 2.3 quest
“Those imprisoned in their dreams are awakening for Freedom” God I fkin loved this boss fight
WE'RE DESTROYING PENACONY WITH THIS ONE 🗣💥💥
Chevy did a great job in this song, it made our Robin shining!✨
THIS IS BY FAAAAR THE BEST SONG FROM ROBIN, it was so much more emotional during the story 😭
I was legit afk just listening to it for a while in the fight xD
I cried so hard it wasnt even funny man this sing is just beautiful im speechless
Hoyoverse somehow cooks a limited 5 star meal when it comes to making songs in all their games🗣🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Peakacony 😭 wildfire was my fav song accompanied by a boss but this one takes the cake easily, Chevy’s voice is angelic
