🎨Paints: Use a good quality craft acrylic paint, if your paint is runny or seems thin, it won't perform as well as paints that have body and are not thin.

How cool.
We loved this one!
Very nice! Who knew.
Right?!
Thanks for the great tips. I've done a bleached shirt before for my daughter's volleyball team, but I had big blots in it. It still turned out pretty good, but now I know how to stop the running. Thanks again😊
Try it and let us know!! Thanks for watching!!
❤🎉
what are you blotting before spraying the bleach?
Patty sprays the bleach, then blots the area to keep the bleach from running, then spray, and blot, etc. ☺
What paper are you using for the stencil?
They are mylar stencils. You can get them in our website studior12.com
How long do you need to let the bleach soak in?
That is going to be personal preference. You will start to see the bleach changing the color. If you want it subtle, you'll do less time. If you really want it to pop, you'll leave it longer before you soak it.
Tried bleaching a stencil on a flannel shirt, doing just how you explained. It turned out as a bleached blob ???? So then I tried blotting the bleach on the stencil, not as bad but not good??? Watching you video it doesn't look hard, but I must be doing something wrong. Do bigger stencils work better??
Patty recommends a lighter application of the spritzing. You want it to be a mist, so you are not getting too much bleach on the fabric. You definitely did the right thing by blotting off.
You can use an adhesive on the back of your stencil to help prevent the bleach from bleeding under.
And we always recommend using a test surface, in this case fabric, until you are comfortable and happy with the results before you move on to your real surface or shirt.
Bro try to apply with a thin paint brush instead of spraying
every time a do a shirt the bleach spreads under the stencil SMH how do you get the bleach to stay
Use a light amount of bleach - you can always add more if you need to, but it will keep the bleach from spreading.
Why 50 50 mix just curious I use 100%
Have you had any issues with the strength of bleach causing holes in the fabric? We tried one that had a stronger bleach - maybe even 100% bleach - and it ended up looking like a moth got to it with all the holes.
Can you do this with a sweatshirt? I have a small bleach stain on a pink sweatshirt I hope I can do something to hide it'
Absolutely! You'd follow the same tips.
Why is there no sound???? So frustrating
Hey there! We just checked the video and the sound is working. You may need to click the sound icon on the video to turn it on on your device or computer.
