    I enjoy your take on life in the PI, I was stationed at Clark and evacuated with Pinatubo. I will be coming back this summer scouting for retirement and your vids have definitely helped. Cheers!

    The intersection where you are standing and talking at 14:40, I think (but of course not certain -- it's been 30 years) is where my daughter used to wait for her school bus every morning. The Intersecting road used to be Grouper, and we lived in the third duplex on the left as you enter Grouper from the street where that bus stop is. Our house was two bedroom, one bath, and two living areas. Two floor - both bedrooms and the bathroom were upstairs. The house was below the street, and accessed by a deep staircase. And again, all this was Kalayaan Housing area. We were there from 1990 - 1992, and we went through the volcano and subsequent 120 earthquakes that weekend.

    Hi. Thanks for the video. I'm former US Navy. I was stationed in Subic Bay in the 80s. I am engaged to a Filipina woman in Cebu. I want to move to the Philippines but I have mechanical heart valve and I'm afraid I cannot get good medical care. I know there is a VA Medical Center at the US Embassy in Manila and also know that in Dumaguete there is a medical school. What type of Medical Care can you get in Subic Bay?

    Renting is so wonderful. It costs 4 or 5 times as much as owning and there's no reason to invest in changes that will make it more comfortable for you. The best part of renting is no matter what you spend every bit of your investment goes up in smoke
    when you buy ,your improvements might give a net profit when you sell and leave. In that case you live there for free, right?

  • @tonyshi45
    @tonyshi45 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    One day you will own rental properties and understand getting a return on your investment . That's why you have rentals .. ROI for any rental in subic should be 10 percent . If you cannot get 10 percent don't buy rentals and being honest less than 10 percent is wasting your time as a investment . Especially as it's a lease . In subic . Peter please do.more research about the price of rentals

      Alexander Lykke oh well I saw one of his video and at the end of the video he mentioned something about a break in at a birthday party. I’m a bit concerned cause I have elderly parents that wants to move back there at end of July just wanted to know how safe he felt ever since that happened. I really like Subic we used to live there when my Dad was stationed there we lived in Kalayaan but again they are elderly and their safety is my main concern.

      He's talking of homes built up on stilts or pilings ,, very much like what we have here in Florida in beach areas or areas that may flood. They give you parking under the home at ground level and are generally easier to maintain as plumbing and such is reachable under the dwelling.

      @briantracy1324 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      here's a Florida example... in Philippines (and especially old US military construction) you would find it to be made of cement.. and typically a duplex.. images.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mexzhouse.com%2Fdimension%2F1280x960%2Fupload%2F2016%2F02%2F22%2Fhouses-built-on-stilts-plans-houses-on-stilts-in-florida-lrg-5db2a45e4413cbe8.jpg&f=1
