I am from Florence SC, I was in kindergarten back then, my parents could not vote until 1964,or they would lost their teaching jobs. At that time my dad was a korean war vet. with masters degree and could not vote.

His words are still appropriate at this time in 2021 with the attempting Republican voter purge.

Fantastic to see this. Had no idea Dr. King spoke there. He spoke where I live, twice in the 60's, but I was too young to be aware and was not living here when he returned for a 2nd-time, only 10-days or so before that tragic day in Memphis. It would be interesting to find the spot where he spoke in Kingstree, not only as hallowed ground but to see how a town has changed in the intervening 55 years.

So far I might not totally support CRT, depending on the devil in the details. But I feel like Dr. King's sermons and philosophy must be taught as part and parcel of Patriotic education, and Character education, in America's schools. MORAL EDUCATION is essential now more than ever. America has not had a greater moral voice than Martin Luther King, Jr.
