Poor young girl being used like that by her horrible family the Howard's. I think she just wanted to be loved but instead she was used and lost her head as I have mentioned before I studied tudor history for many years some people think she could of been as young as 17 when she was executed
@HistoryRoadshow yes her family basically used her and admittedly she was a silly young girl bless her as I have said before I find henry the 8th so fascinating but my auntie did say its a good job I was not alive in tudor times my auntie said henry would have my head off before speaking 10 words as I don't molly cuddle my words

It appears that second sons, whose name is Henry, and fathers were English monarchs, have the unhealthy and inherent ability to not take responsibility for their own actions. 🙄🤨😐
I guess that, for that period, she was not considered that young. But that does not mean that what happened to her was deserved, she just was unfortunate enough to be part of Henrys VIII chaotic romantic life.
You’re right-by Tudor standards, she may not have been seen as that young, but she was still vulnerable in a very unpredictable court. Henry’s turbulent love life brought tragedy to many.

When we talk of tyrants Henry never seems to come up yet he executed 72,000 people in his 36 year reign, thats 2,000 a year or 160 a month, given the population was around 2 million thats about 4% that he executed in the most brutal of ways.

It’s such a sad story-being young and naive in the Tudor court was like walking through a minefield. Poor Catherine never really stood a chance.
