I don't frequent TH-cam often but I have been a serious gamer since the late 70s and still have a soft spot for more real/retro games...games that are games where gameplay and enjoyment are key. I know of these games but I never picked up all of them...I also like your approach to your viewpoints. I watched another of your videos and there is a good old British sense of humour which is good. I may pick up a couple cheap on Steam as I tend to use PC over console the past two years...I have gotten fed up of console compromise where a PC is no compromise, only your budget and knowledge hold you back..
Hello! Thank you for taking the time to comment, I appreciate it - and I know exactly what you mean. I enjoy a variety of games, but sometimes you just want to get back to basics and enjoy some good old-fashioned gameplay. You're very welcome here at the channel anytime, and thanks for watching.
Nice video and I love your channel - exactly what I was looking for as 41 year old gamer. Just a quick note on Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap - it’s a remake of an old Master System game, which might explain why you thought the newer game played better.
Ah, thank you, I'm really pleased to hear that. I set up this channel for us older guys and gals who were pretty much there from the beginning, as everything else seems geared towards the kids. Plenty more coming soon - and welcome to the channel!
If you weren’t wealthy or your parents didn’t like videogames, a sega genesis or ps1 with 20 random games from the flea market was your best bet in the early 2000s. Don’t write us gen z off as tasteless like the AAA studios are doing lol. Anyways, keep it up. I think if you were doing this 15 years ago, you’d be a paid writer at giant bomb. Great stuff.
Colony Wars for PS1 is one of my favorite games of all time. The intro, narrated by none other than James Earl Jones (voice of Vader), still gives me chills.
Great list 👍 I hadn't heard about the last 4. Will definitely checkout Chorus as I used to love Colony Wars (we must be around the same age and getting old 😂) and Monster Boy with my son. Thanks mate 🤜🤛
Ha! Always good to hear from someone of similar... experience! I'm really pleased to introduce you to a few new games, and even more pleased to hear about the next generation giving them a go. Thanks for watching, and enjoy!
You rock bro i legitimately own 20 games because of this channel 🎉
Ha! I'm absolutely delighted to hear it, thank you. Enjoy the games and thanks for watching.
Just subbed recently. One of my new favourite channels. Thanks man
I really appreciate it, thank you - and welcome to the channel!

These all look great, and you presented them all perfectly. Instant sub, can't wait to see your other videos.
Thank you very much, I appreciate it. And welcome to the channel!

Nice chilled overview.
Thank you. I'll leave it to the kids to get all excited! Cheers for watching.
That's a great list, definitly makes good on the promise in the title. Stellar job!
I appreciate it, thank you!
Chorus is a gem. 100% recommend, especially on the stead deck.
That's a good point - the mission structure lends itself well for mobile gaming on the Steam Deck.
…just discovered this channel. Some real hidden gems to be found here. It‘s a pleasure listening to the host. Subscribed.
Hey! Thank you, and I'm glad you're finding some new games to check out. Welcome to the channel!
Good list. Keep up the good work
I appreciate it, thank you!
Thanks, another great list, I will hopefully try these at some point
I appreciate it, thank you. Enjoy the games!
Awesome video!
Thanks very much, I appreciate it!

Yeah! James Earl Jones should narrate everything, really.
I remember since I first heard pilots from my squadron chasing a burning enemy with a long "Yiii-Haaaah" , I was hooked. :)
@@ch3rt. I wonder who has the publishing rights.
Psygnosis is no more

Some good Indies.
Yeah, I think so, thank you. Always good to find a game that's been hiding away somewhere. Thanks for watching.
I beat Monster Boy on Stadia of all things. I enjoyed it!
It's a great game, isn't it? So much variety and some quite clever switches between characters.
Submerged is £2.49 on PS5. I will take thus plunge.
Absolutely - at that price it's definitely worth the plunge. Enjoy the game, and thanks for watching!
i luv ur voice
Well, at least I have one thing I can count on! Thanks for watching!
I played like 4 hours of Chorus but didn't really like it, never got hooked even though I wanted to get hooked
That's fair enough. It can seem quite slow at times, I must admit.
that's a great looking flight game play that , very very rare these days in my humble opinion
Yeah, it's a pretty spectacular effort from a comparatively small team. Well worth a look if you like your space action. Thanks for watching!
