Phil I have been watching you for a while now and to see you come out of a low time is inspirational. We all have those times and thank you to being honest about it. I think we all could tell something was going on and for you to be open to sharing a little of it which you didn’t have to do. That room is a big task Phil. Getting rid of the extra furniture and moving back into it is a great idea to work out how you want it to feel.

I love the colours in the br carpet. Navy white silver gold. It would be interesting to see stripes instead of flowers. You wont need wardrobes if you have a dressingroom. Lots of interesting choices

I highly recommend you get a stainless steel shred blade horse brush. They work wonders from the Husky under coat.
I am from Alaska and have had a few different type of Husky's. They are such wonderful dogs especially if they have room to run.
Your dog is adorable. Phil you chateau is a haven of tranquility. Somewhere in your future you will meet someone lovely and share the beautiful space with them.
Things are coming along nicely inside! Once you get all that squared away, it'll be easy peasy upkeep. Then, please try and get some friends and/or volunteers to come in and help with the grounds, and once THAT is all beautiful again, it too will be super easy to maintain. You shouldn't feel overwhelmed when you look at your home and grounds. 55k+ are all waiting to see that pride in your smile once again!

Phil, I Love that you are cleaning up the Chateau. You can see the difference with your hard work. I think it's a good idea to change bedrooms and decorate for you! You can be more proud of your home when it doesn't feel like a dumping ground for all the miscellaneous projects, etc.

Great to see you with a possitive mindset, you know what you want and your destined to achieve it. Less is best where furniture is concerned as you have to clean it for one and having a dressing room you won't need wardrobes in the bedroom. One more thing regarding natural light coming in the windows of your bedroom, check out which side the moon shines in the room on a full moon so you don't need heavy curtains drawn. Keep up the good work and stick to the colour blue variations. 💕🇦🇺

Paused at 13:13 to gently add that the colors of sunset will affect the colors in the room 🥰🥰 try swatches of colors that appeal to you, like a blanket over the foot of the bed and lay there, see how the light plays on colors 😊 ie the dark navy would sometimes take on a greenish hue in a bright sunset ❤ ahhhhhhh 😄 personally, I do very well with a sunset exposure, and I have one 🥰 very relaxing, glad you're doing this! 😁👍

I love Lightning. 🥰 I had a Border Collie with hair dropping everywhere so I used to vacuum her. If Lightning can stand it maybe give it a go as it gets their under coat cleaned as well. 👍
Phil you need a Roomba - robot vacuum for the dog hair. It’s a lifesaver with our two furry dogs.

Have your Roomba (or even a couple!) go off every morning around 4am downstairs for regular doggie hair pickup. Upstairs have a Roomba go off at 10am after you’ve gotten up. I have 2 fluffy pugs and the hair is out of control, so I know from experience! 😂
My Roomba died 3 times from all the Husky hair at my house. I was buying a new motor about every 6 months.

Hi. In the bedroom, the lighter wood dresser the tv is on plus the “matching” wardrobe beside the mirror faced one - both look lovely in the varying light in which you were shooting. Enough variation in the wood to show golden highlights and darker grains.
Make that room lightnings room! A comfortable home by a nice body of water would be wonderful. Throwing a line in on a hot summers day. I think trying out different colors in the lighting of the room as well as furniture placements is a great idea. Keep going until it’s perfect for you!

Great idea of living in the room to feel it out. Years ago when I owned a bar I wasn't generally home evenings and not being an early riser darker mornings were perfect. Older now and home more I'm still a night owl and my favorite room has the same beautiful evening light, I call them my twilight hours. It's not my sewing studio because it's my favorite time of day to work in there. Totally agree with being near water, I think you're doing great things with your home and it is important to please yourself and be happy where you are. Keep at it!

Phil for the bedroom that you are doing up ,don't go for a very dark colour as the room is dark in the morning and the room gets all the light in the evening , try a softer deep green or blue with either a warm cream or white to compliment the the other colour in the room .
Love your approach to planning your bedroom - trying pieces before choosing final design and final colors.
I think that moving back in will allow you to see and feel the color scheme you want to be in everyday. Like I have said before change the drapery color that will also allow you to see a different level of comfort. Having friends over will also allow other peoples opinions to open up your eyes to some changes that you should of, could of, or would of be making in the future. Have fun and a great day Phil

Furminator products really do work well to remove thick pet undercoats, especially in shedding season, and are made specific to the coat types of different animals (dogs, cats, horses). Bonus: our pets always seemed to enjoy being groomed with the appropriate Furminator.

Congrats on your 55 plus thousand subscribers, if you think doing the whole room in a dark navy will make it too dark then do the headboard wall the dark colour, other walls white and add dark accessories, bedding chairs etc

Everything is greening up nicely! We used to have a collie mix. We used to shave her down to the skin at the beginning of summer. It would grown back in just in time for the first snowfall. She loved it! No shedding all summer long!

Phil look into a high-velocity hair dryer that groomer's use. There is a groomer from Niagara Fall, Ontario - Girl With The Dogs - 2 that uses it all the time to help in the shedding. She calls the shedding a FURNADO!
Yes, she also uses a deshedding shampoo first. I started using it for my beagle ai helps.
Love the silver colored wallpaper on the outside wall! I like your idea of silver and blue in the bedroom, as you mentioned in an earlier video. You might want to consider a white or gray color scheme for the upholstery and bedding to match Lighting's "dog glitter"! 😉
Thank you for showing your daily struggles with dog hair, etc. We have twelve dogs-all are rescues or rehomes-and a big house (that we bought for the land, but is) in need of more renovation. I have been struggling with dog hair, etc. each day and, at times, getting depressed about it. I do not have a TH-cam channel (at least not yet), but seeing your perseverance with daily chores is encouraging and renewed my sense of purpose. My advice is always stay strong and keep the faith. Today, your work reminded me that I needed the same advice. Please keep moving forward and sharing your story!

What Lightening is telling you: I quite like the room the way it is you don’t have to change anything, you always be a handyman and this is a very important part of maintaining the chateau at a manageable level, eventually solve your love life and all will fit back together again and I‘m sure Lighting will have a lot to say about this😂
Totally agree with living in a room before you make decisions. I have an old Victorian house with a southern exposure and waited 2 years to decide on the bedroom colors. We also lived with the Kitchen for 5 years before deciding what changes we would make. Our neighbors moved into theirs and re-did everything immediately. Four years later, they regretted a lot of their decisions. It’s been 40 years since we bought this house, and I still have no regrets about taking our time!
