@@devanshmehta5095 One day a few well cultured soft-spoken Japanese young men came to our India office for trainings. Our office was in one of the richest, posh and cleanest areas in Maharashtra. One day out of Curiosity I asked these young men what difference you observed in India and Japan? After thinking for a while one guy responded,
      - There is no cleanliness in India. No one takes efforts to keep it clean. In Japan it's clean almost everywhere if something is not clean people passenger clean themselves, and don't wait for goverment.
      - In India if someone is rich, he is really rich, if someone seems he seems absolutely poor. The difference of salary between the low income band e.g Guards, Office boys and the top earning employees is just huge. In Japan the salary difference between Rich and poor is not this much huge..
      - The toilets in office are not clean and I have given a written application to the facilities regarding this. (I was surprised by this, as our office in my mind was very very clean)
      - I heard that your parents even select whom you should marry, is it true?
      - I see that families live together with their parents. We liked this togetherness. In Japan there are many old people who Die Alone.

    Few things I felt
    1. The Kannimoola they mentioned is the sacred place which is basically in Southwest direction. It had prathistas of Bhagavathy, Ganapathy and Guru (Lineage of teachers)
    2. The slaps he was giving was primarily to indicate the application of those steps where to keep your focus.
    3. It seemed they were telling the boy to always tell truth about age of teacher and Kalari and not to impress anyone
    4. There are different styles of kalari across Kerala.. North and South primarily
    5. Better to take someone local with you who has basic martial arts knowledge or atleast interest.

      how kalari arrived asian country?

    • @SuperMakkal
      @SuperMakkal ปีที่แล้ว

@@komedykingdomI’ll explain briefly in a very layman way. This art arrived in Asia at different time periods with various styles and masters. For example shaolin kungfu was introduced in China by bodhidarma (Damo) (a pallava prince from kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu)
In Ancient Greek and Roman times there were always martial arts trained Indian mercenaries employed by traders from India mostly from south India in trade ships to defend and protect their cargo and lives against pirates so since it takes a long time to travel like months and yrs every time they dock at a port after months of journey they will spend a few months to recoup before they continue their travel depending on the traders. So during their stay in those foreign lands the mercenaries will practice on their martial arts and imparted their skills to the locals. The locals mastered these arts and named it according to their language which till today is practiced in many Asian countries.
When Cholas invaded Southeast Asia those garrisons left behind to protect their conquered territories also practiced and imparted their skills to the locals.
So throughout the ancient times these are the few examples and ways how Indian martial arts were spread and influenced in Asia.

This is precisely the way yoga was stripped from its roots and made a body bending exercise.

Shaolin Temple was in deep trouble and was about to shut down. A monk from this region of Kerala had gone to study to Patliputra (Patna of today). He was sent via Sikkim to Shaolin Temple to rescue it. He took his skills of Kalariyapattu along with him and taught it to the monks of Shaolin to defeat the robbers around the Temple. That is what we see today as Karate and Kung Fu.
