    I always liked his informal manner with guests. No talk-show host from the States would wander through a graveyard with Mila Kunis pondering existential issues, zombies and Harry Potter.

      Talk shows generally need conventions because most actors don't have great personalities, or even if they do, get nervous speaking about themselves in front of 200 people. If they could clone Craig, they could have a bunch of no-convention talk shows...

      Right? What a wet blanket! "Don't skip! Don't walk on the graves! Don't hop! Don't dance on the graves! Don't do cartwheels!" Sheesh! Nobody's allowed to have ANY fun with Mr. Grisgraum around. What a stick-in-the-mud! Probably wouldn't even let you pee, either! But the first time there's any singing mentioned, he's all like, "What d'ye wan' me tae sing? Ah'll sing anythin', there's no-ob'dy hyeer."

    I wouldn't say Craig has "plenty" of haters. He has some. But most people who comment are complimentary, and recognize how talented he is because they watch him regularly and have seen years of his work on the show. You can't watch Scotland week alone and know how good he is. Still, the few who write nasty things are entitled to their opinion. But it amazes me, because if I didn't like a show, I wouldn't waste time watching several videos of it, then waste more time writing how much I hated it.

    • @madman2u
      @madman2u 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Mr Peaches Latour
      Uncertainty is part or life as well as science. I'd rather be a rational person, compared to living a lie. A lie that may or may not help you, is still a lie, and more often than not, lies eventually becomes damaging.
      Just as I'm pretty sure there are no unicorns, I'm pretty sure there is no god. Until proven otherwise, I'll keep being an atheist.

    • @madman2u
      @madman2u 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Mr Peaches Latour
      But it's not true, because there's no evidence, tangible or otherwise. For me, truth is about being able to prove what is, has happen or been said, and so on.
      If anyone's a moron, it's you. You're dealing in assumption, while I deal in facts. The facts are as following; there has been no proof of a god, so therefor it's unlikely that there is a god.
      People can indeed live their lives as they see fit, but only as long as they don't damage others. Being ignorant is damaging to everyone around that person and passing on that ignorance to children is also damaging.
      Ignorance creates prejudice and we don't need more of that in the world. If we aim for world peace or some form of stability, then religion has to go or be heavily regulated, meaning it'd only be allowed in the private sphere, far away from public view.
      I'm not saying you cannot believe in whatever you want, but I want to limit potentially harmful nonsense to the private sphere. What you as an adult do at your private time is totally up to you, as long as you don't cause harm to others.
      I'd also ban religious teachings, outside an academic point of view, to anyone under the age of 18. Religious schools would be closed.
      Religious TV or radio would need to be regulated. Radio would have to be impartial and objective or they'd lose their licence. TV channels with religious teachings would only be available on locked payed channels.
      Homeschooling would only be allowed by licensed professionals, i.e. teachers. You could obviously still educate your child in an academic way, but you'd either have to send them to normal school or be a licensed teacher. It's all about being objective.
      You could obviously hire a professional teacher to educate your child, but that would most likely lead to cases where the child is depraved of social interaction with people their own age. This can damage them later in life due to various anti-social behavior.
      Breaking the law of homeschooling(denial of proper education), and/or religious teachings to a minor, should result in loss of custody(either permanent or temporary) as well as fines.
      The world is indeed not black and white. However when we talk science, there are certain factors. One is that if we doubt everything we perceive until proven otherwise with evidence.
      Saying that something is, doesn't mean it's true. I can say I saw a unicorn the other day but if I cannot prove it, then it's very unlikely that people will believe me. I may know it's true, but unless I have conclusive proof, nobody sane would believe me and so it'd be pointless to try to argue the existence of unicorns.
      Most of it comes down to common sense and that's something you get from your parents when growing up, if they happen to be sensible by not spoon-feeding you BS.
      Just as I am pretty sure that there are no unicorns, witches, trolls, fairies, goblins or flying spaghetti monsters, I'm equally sure that there is no god.
      Just because a lot of people believe in something, it doesn't necessarily mean it's true. What I see is mass delusion on a grand scale. It's the biggest type of con trough all of history; the selling of false hope.
      If you know bit of history, you'd know that there was a time where people believed the world was flat and if you sailed far enough, you'd fall off the edge of the world. Today we know better and have obviously disproved this and hence, we know the world is not flat, it's actually oval.
      Religion is still around because it has rooted itself too deep into humanity and did more often than not, in its time, assert values upon the masses. At times it was either being a believer or being persecuted. These values was the result of older beliefs systems and superstitions, passed on trough generations.
      This is sadly still happening today in different parts of the world. If you're a Christian, then it's not very safe in countries such as Iraq, Somalia, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia and North Korea(even though this place doesn't get much tourism). You may notice that most of them are Muslim countries. Islam is the biggest threat to humanity as religion goes, but they're all pretty bad.
      In many parts of the world, Muslims are also targeted for their faith. Although it's understandable since Islam has a very bad rep in today's society and people tend to look exclusively at the negative.
      No matter where you live or what faith you practice, there are obviously good and bad people. Even so, religion as a whole is only damaging societies, because it creates barriers and prevents progress.
      If you doubt this, just look at any human rights index. You'd see that a lot of the countries that are heavily religious, score poorly compared to less religious countries. Religions most often have a set of values and these values are not always based on the more modern time we live in. Sometimes it's also not based on common sense.
      A lot of times it's harmful and some people even act on what's written in their book, whether it be the Bible, Torah or the Koran.
      If we look at the issue by using common sense, it all comes down to what people do towards each other. When it's damaging in any way, physical or psychological, we should try to stop it.
      This is why it's illegal in most parts of the world to harm, kill, steal, threaten, extort and/or intimidate and so on. It's all very sensible and hopefully you agree on this. But when it comes to religion which promotes a lot of things that are illegal, it's not shut down because that'd in a way be a violation of personal freedom. You obviously punish them for the act, but not always for the source of that act(which would be religious dogma).
      We could easily do a comparison and talk about nudity in public, or sexual acts in public. They're both illegal and you'd be fined or even thrown in jail for indecent exposure. So we've adapted and limited nudity to the private sphere. We're not denying you to be nude, we're simply saying that you cannot be nude in public.
      *There's no reason we can't do exactly the same with religion.*

    LeL, that ending music reminded me bit of Jurassic Park.

    More celebrities should do this. Really. Talkshows are not showing that much. But when you see for example her walking around, talking, behaving as she is, that's what famous ppl should do. You get to see and know that person much more when you see her/him in different enviroment, talking about ordinary stuff, mamking jokes, hang out and stuff. But I also think that if all celebs would do that, we would learn that most of them are actually not as they seems to be wants to be seen.
