Really enjoied the video, thank you! I had the same bike but 81 years model in black. Very good bike. Lovely engine and good gearbox. Even the brakes were good. Only thing I wasn't entirely happy with were the rear shock absorbers. Still, a great bike! Wish I had kept it.
Beautiful ! , absolutely beautiful ! , I had the FZ model many years ago and it was without a doubt the best bike that I`ve ever owned and that includes my Fireblade and Blackbird . The tools and skill needed to complete that resoration....well , what can I say ? , keep safe , man.
Had the same 81 model same colour scheme, 4 into 1 pipes, knn filters my heart aches when I look at this video, should have kept the piece of art from the period. 2021 now and never a better looking bike. Your so lucky to be able to restore one, the very best of luck with her mate 👌

I'm working on my '81 900F that's been hibernating for a decade. Cleaned carbs, fresh fuel, all the basics. Problem remaining is, it idles fine, but will not pull away from standstill,, no power above idle basically. In neutral, will rev fron idle to redline, but no guts when in gear. Any ideas appreciated.
Ok , I know this is a little late , lol , but I had the same problem and it was a damp air filter that wasn`t letting the air through to the carbs , once I`d dried it out everything worked fine.
I am restoring a cb 900f 1981, and the batter does not charge with the medium light on. I have changed the alternator and the regulator and still nothing. can you help me ?????

To complete your Bolder please reinstall the original rear shocks. They should work perfect after a service with new oil and gas.

Seems they are original exhausts. Even if, the sound is much "aggressive" than the originals.

the specs online for the 1982 cb900f say top speed is 130 miles. But one motorbike i was looking to buy the speedo say 80 miles why is that?
Blame the US government back in the 80's, during the Oil saga, apparently the bureaucrats thought this was increase fuel economy by fooling them.
maybe you could remake the video using a better choice of lense, so we can see the true lines of this beautiful machine
