To be absolutely honest, that x-large is NOT the largest soft drink container I've see by a long sight. There are containers so large you could use them to put out a house fire.
That place is crazy, I live in Silicon Valley (grew up here) and have never been to the south....I think that place is easily the biggest convenience store in the world! 😲
They started as a family store in coastal Texas near Houston. They have stayed privately owned as they have massively expanded over the last 30 years. They pay their employees well and give good benefits. They are very well placed to do well out of the electric car revolution… takes a while to refuel one of those! They will need upgraded electrical connections and places for people to sit and eat though. Start planning for that now, Buccees!
Buc-ee's is wild. Honestly wish they were the standard for US truck stops. They're are ridiculous. It's an odd experience the first time you walk into one. When I was traveling for work consistently, used to always try to time my trips so I could grab their fresh breakfast and their fresh BBQ later in the day for lunch.
G'day Mad Skelli, just thought you'd like to know that University of Texas researchers have recently named a prehistoric beaver 'Anchitheriomys bucceei.

I'm from New Braunfels. Glad you enjoyed your visit and hope you come back. New Braunfels is an amazing place with many attractions (Gruen Hall, Schlitterbahn, Guadalupe River, Comal River, etc...) Be safe.
I didnt realize they sold bimbo stuff. Their factory is on my former in-laws old property in Zanesville Ohio. Bimbo also makes all the buns for wendys and arbys.
The join or die snake is a political cartoon created by Benjamin Franklin to advocate fore the individual colonies to act in a more unified way in their approach to dealing with Great Britain. So the join is a more unified group of colonies. This would ultimately progress through the Articles of Confederation, and eventually, in order to create a Federal Government to assume the liability of all of the states individual debts (mostly to France) incurred during the War for Independence., the Constitution was adopted and the United States of America was finally formed in 1789.
We finally got a chance to visit a Buc-ee's, and we also were disappointed that there were no seating areas at which to enjoy the delicious brisket sandwiches.
My gripe about B, but I understand it. Of course, it saves them lots of money not to pick up trash. But I'm pretty sure that 1. They sell beer and they sell food and they would have to pay a lot of state fees for licenses with seating. 2. If they had seating areas they would have to police them to keep them from becoming the local teen hang out and enforce laws about not drinking/underage drinking on the premises. And in Texas, at least, that would end up with drag racing on the huge parking lots. Every teenagers dream!
Ok. I’m from Texas. And pecan is pronounced Puh-con. Not Pee-can, which is a can you use when you’re trying to be discreet and you aren’t near a restroom and you really have to pee. Buc-ee’s is awesome. You should come to Texas. 🤠👍🇨🇱
I always knew that there was a Bucc-ee's in Florida, but I thought I would have to drive to the Panhandle to get there. Glad to know there is one in Daytona because it is a little closer to my home.
Yep, read about the one coming to Ocala (born and raised, but don’t live there anymore) I know the exact location they are building and it is perfect. Nothing off that exit so Buc’s will have NO competition. They already have 2 on I-95 to catch the northeast traffic. This one will be on I-75 to catch the Midwest traffic. This will be a great employment opportunity for locals in that area.
Mad Skelli, I hope that when you were so close, you took a trip over to Cape Canaveral. I did a few years ago, and took a self-guided tour of the huge museum. It was amazing, and the percentage of foreign visitors was really high, especially (probably) because a few days later, Elon Musk launched something. There must have been between 20- to 30,000 spectators in the grassy strip between the Indian and Banana rivers, and the highway from all over the world.
My best friend has to move to Florida for work, and that Buc-ee's is his halfway home point from work. He said, he buys 1 new thing to eat each night for dinner, and still hasn't had the same thing twice, in a year, and a half. If you are a light eater, you had better get too much there if you can’t eat it all or are looking to save and eat it providing you proper place to store it where it will be fresh and be re heated if you want to eat it again. They are driving their own RV Van that like in Australia the steering wheel is on the right side. I hope they don’t get too much of shock of this country driving the highways and interstates of this country.
