Best comeback of a musician in a very very long time. So glad to see him back and sounding incredible. So happy that he’s healthy and sober too! The guy is a legend
Sober Manson is 🥹 Some of the vocals remind me of his spooky kids era vocals. 🖤 listen to negative 3 This single has nodes of Antichrist superstar, OMĒGA and the mechanical animals with some holy wood. I can’t wait to hug this man in a few hours 🤠🖤
Glad you're digging the new track! I've done a 180 on a lot of Manson's more recent stuff and like it now, but I'm happy to say it's definitely reminiscent of the classic sound. Very Mechanical Animals-esque.
Keep sleeping I'll make you dream of me! This song is terrific! That riff is amazing! Lyrics are great! Manson sounds good! I like it a lot! I hope There’s a new album coming and this isn't just a single release. Cheers, Johnny! 🤘🏼🍻
It’s classic Manson for sure! Looking forward to the new album announcement… he just signed with Nuclear Blast so a new record must be coming. Cheers man!
@@TheNothing6 Cheers! Listening to the new song again... I think "keep sleeping I'll make you dream of me" might be one of the coldest lines I've ever heard.
@@TheCDGuyJZ I agree! I listened to it about five times already. I'm going to listen to it again soon. It’s probably one of his best songs, and it just came out! I really like his song Don't Chase the Dead from the album We Are Chaos, too. I love the new music from these older bands and artists lately. It gets me excited! I love music! Without it, I'd be lost. You're amazing, Johnny Z! You always give credit where it's due regardless of whatever bad things a band or artist has done in the past or even if you're not the biggest fan you praise if it's deserving, and this new Marilyn Manson song is well deserving of praise. It's so good! Cheers, my friend! 🤘🏼🍻
@MikeysMorgue I’m really starting to change my mind on his music. I listened to his catalog a lot in anticipation for this new song, and I think I’ve been way too harsh in the past. Looking forward to this new era… similar to Alice Cooper’s comeback in the 80s where he played Alice sober for the first time.
My expectations were far surpassed!!! I cannot believe how good his voice sounds. Did a little short reaction video of my own this morning but I don't think it really captured just how excited I am 😅
@@chestyvulva I think even on Hollywood his voice sounded excellent but I agree he hasn't really sang since without that croaky sound that I assumed was just irreversible at this point
@@chestyvulva You're not the first person I've heard this from. I didn't think he was ever going to lose the turkey neck so it's clear he went through some drastic changes.
Incredibly jealous that you saw that bill! Agreed, this is Manson at the top of his game. Looking at the live clips from this past weekend, this looks like a complete revival.
I like when he has more lyrics instead of repetitive ones. That being said, this is a very personal look into his struggles. Live, he introduced himself as “I’m Marilyn Manson and I’m a drug addict.”
Let's be honest. Mechanical Animals was the last time he threw us a curve ball. When that shit got old he started doing his old thing. Which he has been doing ever since. I remember when Holy Wood was supposed to be his comeback. And he's been coming back ever since. Only to fade away time and time again. The fans are idiots and are always gonna be there. To make an actual comeback he needs to make cultural/ commercial success. which is what he has always wanted. the 90s have been over for a long time. he needs to learn there is no shame is bowing out gracefully.
What’s old can be new again, but I honestly see him settling into an Alice Cooper-type role (post 1986 comeback) these days: sober, enjoying himself, selling the nostalgia of the character and doing his own thing for the rest of his career.
He looks a lot better and his voice sounds better, the artistic direction looks great but the sound is very boring. The song is really boring. I feel like if the instrumentals were different it could be good but it just sounds so boring. I love Manson and still listen to him almost everyday from portrait to the golden age of grotesque but yeah, boring.
Mansons last album was trash and this song is to he’s one of my favorite artist of all time but I’m a f-:ck(& Metal head and this song is garbage I wasn’t born with enough middle fingers !!!
Personally I couldn’t stand his music for a long time and then it grew on me. Hopefully the new song grows on you. Sounds like you hate it pretty badly… hopefully the rest of the album has stuff you’ll enjoy.
What are your thoughts on the new Marilyn Manson song As Sick As The Secrets Within? Let me know down below!

Looks like he’s found the fountain of youth for sure! His live sets from the last few days have been very strong.
Amazing comeback!! Can´t believe it
Agreed! I can draw a lot of parallels to this comeback and Alice Cooper’s 80s comeback… sober and motivated again.

True!!
@@TheCDGuyJZ agreed. Just like Alice Coopers Constrictor.
And this is just the beginning..

Can’t wait for the new record next week!
Great video.. Marilyn Manson ROCKS! Can you please do a reaction for my favorite band Sinister Ghost?
Thanks! I'm planning on making a video in the next couple of weeks about great new Metal bands... Sinister Ghost would be a great fit for that list.

Big Coma Black vibes!
Been a fan since 1994 when I saw Manson open up for NIN and the Jim Rose Circus Side Show.

Glad you’re enjoying it!
Is it just me or is it giving Antichrist superstar vibes
For sure. I feel like this song could fit on any of those classic albums.
Definitely the video, is totally antichrist superstar, and he’s got the blue contact back in
Yes, and some Holy Wood vibes.
I just seen him last night in Hershey Pennsylvania an he looked and moved like it was 2000 all over again.
I saw clips from that show... He looks 20 years younger and healthier. Wishing him nothing but the best in sobriety... he killed it last night!
It’s like the old Manson but mature. Can’t wait for the album.
Agreed. This new album is shaping up to be his best in a long time.
