95 is my favorite musical year of the 90s and one of my favorite musical years ever. I love Balance, my favorite VH with Sammy on vocals, and such a rich guitar tone from Ed Also love the Foo Fighters debut, really captures what i love about Foo Fighters, the way they can be so melodic (Big Me) and then be pretty aggressive (Weenie Beenie, Wattershed) Also love Tripod, its also my #2 from 95. It was jarring as hell when i first listened to it but after a while i can just get lost in playing that album. Grind, Brush Away, Sludge Factory, Again, Nothin' Song... all fantastic Ballbreaker is underrated, i always thought it sounded a little too glossy but the songs are awesome I do like Mellon Collie, but that's too much Billy Corgan for me lol i like the songs you mentioned plus XYU A few more of my favorites include A Boy Named Goo - Goo Goo Dolls These Days - Bon Jovi Subhuman Race - Skid Row Why the Long Face - Big Country Morning Glory - Oasis Collective Soul - s/t Dysfunctional - Dokken Home - Deep Blue Something Freaks of Nature - Kansas
Fear Factory - demanufacture Paradise Lost - draconian times Death - Symbolic Anathema - the silent enigma At the gates - slaughter of the soul A lot of albums from those days. I never did own the Immortal album from that year. I had the Alice In Chains on cassette and the White Zombie album from that year on cassette as well. Had “the spider’s lullaby” on cassette too. Had mostly switched to cds by this point though. You must listen to a ton of music young man! To make lists like this. Enjoy 🤘 cheers
Great picks! Must’ve been cool to buy those records on cassette/CD when they first dropped… back then it seemed like something new was coming out every week. I try to listen to as much as I can… the 70s through the 90s is really my strong-suit tho. Cheers bro!
@ I lived in small town Idaho so I had to either travel to the nearest city or order through the mail. Luckily a little grocery store where I lived carried a magazine called Metal Maniacs! It was the best!!! Found so many great albums that way. I could always listen to Pantera or Tool at a friends house but when I broke out Neurosis or Acid Bath at a party…it was all because of Metal Maniacs
Neurosis and Acid Bath?! Must’ve been an awesome party 😂🤘 I have a whole bunch of Hit Paraders and Kerrangs from the 90s with album release schedules in them and it was wild how stacked every month was back then.
@@TheCDGuyJZ only about six or seven friends liked my music. Most everyone insisted on Floyd, Primus, Bob Marley, Sublime or some bands like Disturbed, Staind, System of a Down, Korn…ya know. Oh man, if I played some old Slayer or something like Emperor we’d have a mutiny on our hands 😂
yeah I would like 20 and 10 year old albums being covered but I don't think they'll get as enough views as the previous videos. anyway my list: 20.) Lake of Tears - Headstones 19.) Excel - Seeking Refuge 18.) Fight - A Small Deadly Space 17.) Fear Factory - Demanufacture 16.) W.A.S.P. - Still Not Black Enough 15.) Running Wild - Masquerade 14.) Nevermore - Nevermore 13.) Faith No More - King for a Day... Fool for a Lifetime 12.) Bathory - Octagon 11.) Down - NOLA 10.) Opeth - Orchid 9.) Rage - Black in Mind 8.) Symphony X - The Damnation Game 7.) Savatage - Dead Winter Dead 6.) Iced Earth - Burnt Offerings 5.) Blind Guardian - Imaginations from the Other Side 4.) Dissection - Storm of the Light's Bane 3.) Dark Tranquillity - The Gallery 2.) Death - Symbolic 1.) At the Gates - Slaughter of the Soul Bonus: Dream Theater - A Change of Seasons (Double EP) Megadeth - Hidden Treasures (EP) In Flames - Subterranean (EP) Dark Tranquillity - Of Chaos and Eternal Night (EP) Windir - Det gamle riket (Demo) Ulcus (Pre-Vreid) - Yggdrasil Inearthed (Children of Bodom) - Ubiguitous Absence of Remission (Demo) Edguy - Savage Poetry (Demo album)
The only problem with doing anniversary videos for 2005 and 2015 is that they were good years, but not classic years like 75, 85 and 95. Great choices as always! Can’t argue with Slaughter Of The Soul at number 1 🤘
Immortal is a great pick, the only album of theirs I like better is At The Heart Of Winter from 99. The thing I like best about Ozzmosis is the individual performances of Geezer on bass and Wakeman on keyboards, there's some great music going on there, also the last Ozzy album I love beginning to end. I saw Fear Factory on that tour with Merauder opening, awesome show. That's a killer Dissection album, loved all 3 of their albums, it's a shame what happened with Jon, could have had so many more great releases. That Down album is incredible southern metal, Stone The Crow is in my top 25 songs ever, glad they're finally working on new stuff! Unpopular opinion but I prefer Ballbreaker over Razors Edge for best 90s AC/DC album, having Phil Rudd back on drums made a big difference. That At The Gates album is so influential to this day even. I'd agree with Symbolic for top album of 95, also my favorite of the Death Discography.
Super cool that you were able to see Fear Factory on the demanufacture tour! I also find myself listening to Ballbreaker more than Razor’s Edge these days. Agreed, Ozzy working with Rick Wakeman was a killer collaboration on Ozzmosis for sure.
Once again, a great list you put together, but I personally missed Panzerfaust from Darkthrone. If you don't know the album you should at least listen to it once. The songs are heavily influenced by Hellhammer and Celtic Frost and it is easily my favorite album from the Norwegian legends.
1. Insomniac Green Day 2. And Out Comes The Wolves Rancid 3. Symbolic Death 4. (What's the Story) Morning Glory? Oasis 5. Ledbetter Lights Kenny Wayne Sheperd 6. Ballbreaker ACDC 7. Pierced from Within Suffocation 13. Foo Fighters Foo Fighters 14. Slaughter of the Soul At the Gates 15. Sacrifice Motorhead 16. Dear You Jawbreaker 17. Above Mad Season 18. Teenage Politics MxPx 19. Red Machine Fugazi 20. One Hot Minute Red Hot Chili Peppers 21. The Spider's Lullabye King Diamond 22. Adios Amigos Ramones 23. Hoss Lagwagon 24. Astro-Creep: 2000 White Zombie 25. Tragic Kingdom No Doubt

Great picks! Really dig that Saxon record. 👍

Sacred Reich is working on a new album and working on some tours maybe they can tour with Testament they both have new album coming out this year
Glad to hear they're working on new music. That would be an awesome tour!
@@TheCDGuyJZ Testament Sacred Reich Overkill and exodus tour would be awesome
Imaginations from the Other Side would be more fit to be #14 all time metal instead of #14 just 1995.
Sometimes when making a list things just work out in a certain order. I probably could have swapped places between Imaginations and A Spiders Lullabye
For me it's W.A.S.P. still not black enough. Most underrated W.A.S.P. album in my opinion. Blackie released the perfect album to follow crimson idol 🤘
Agreed it was the best way to follow up Crimson Idol... those two albums back to back really showcased Blackie's growth as a songwriter.
