I love that Technoblade is also partially immune to The Egg as well. He can theoretically hear it too, but The Voices just drown it out completely and utterly leaving him basically unaffected. Imagine being an ancient evil entity within an egg powered by blood sacrifices, and being unable to mentally control this one guy because you're just one more voice out of thousands in his head whenever you try.

It would be sad that this interesting plotline would just be left behind, especially considering the plot around Bad and the leeched cult.

The whole "sacrificing people for the Egg to gain power" thing is very reminiscent of the new Minecraft 1.19 sculk blocks. Its mechanics are essentially the same: Someone dies near the Egg, the Egg becomes more powerful. Some mob dies near the Sculk Catalyst, the Sculk spreads therefore implying its force is becoming more strengthened from the death. Also, the red coloration of the Egg and everything Egg-themed in dsmp lore could mean something. Seeing as how with the new sculk blocks, if you trigger the sculk shrieker too many times, the Warden emerges from the ground, then wouldn't that mean if enough people get sacrificed for the Egg, the Egg would eventually hatch right? Think about it, the Egg feeds off of death, and the Sculk does too. The bloodvines or whatever could just be the first stage of a sculk infestation across the server, so perhaps when the Warden gets released in 1.19, that is what will be hatched from the Egg.
That's a pretty good theory, but wasn't the egg introduced wayyyy before the sculks? or maybe my sense of time is completely messed up lol

@@limeypi1539 well it can be retconned to be a more advanced sculk since the egg has been around for a long ass time and presumably sir billiam has been feeding it more and more until sir billiam died and it wasn't being took care of anymore it fell asleep until bad found it and woke up again
@@limeypi1539 It wasn’t. The sculks were announced late 2020 slightly before the Egg arc began- but got delayed to Cave and Cliffs Part 2 and then delayed again to the Wild Update. It makes sense why this arc has been left hanging since the update that adds the Warden is coming far later than we expected.

Okay, as someone who always watches bad streams, he said there will be egg lore "soon" (when bad says soon, it can be a few days or a year, kind of) and if anything... I'll relate it to the big "box" in front of his and skeppy's house, as he said he'll reveal what's inside "soon" too and that it is lore related so...
I mean, this is if I didn't missundertand something-
Edit: There is actually new egg lore! It is related to this new character, called Sam Bucket, he's creepy and in the second stream of his story is revealed he has a connection with the egg, what exactly is unclear at all so far but Bad said questions will be answered in the third stream!

One hint we did get as to the Egg's Origins came from Foolish's stream right after he died by the Egg. He speaks in his head for a bit, basically bragging about how old and powerful he is, and criticizing Foolish for turning to building rather than his old destructive ways, claiming that because destroying things is easier that building them, he will always be more powerful. So whatever it is has shown to be something of an old being of destruction.
Another hint that supports this is when quackity came to recruit him, he mentions something about knowing his past and the egg. My question is, what does quackity know???

Arc in the smp always shift to different arcs and left the last one untouched which makes the lore have a lot of holes that cant be filled until a year later after they finally goes back to it

Wait, wasn't Sam trying to move the egg into the vault in the bank he was building? I remember being worried about his weird behaviour like imprisoning Ranboo and letting Quackity torture Dream being connected to that.
o i thought i just remembered things wrong about sam transporting it and im pretty sure he sent it to the prison with his only 2 guards ant and bad who was in the egg cult and the egg might have infected sam from inside the prison
@@Nayrlol6855 It could explain why they quit. Eventually seeing that the Egg was getting to Sam, they decided to leave Sam's command to get away from the Egg.
Him letting Quackity torture Dream wasn't connected to the Egg lore I don't think
I think that was just Sam literally feeling guilty about Tommy dying and getting revived and having to go through pain again. And him not caring anymore what happens to Dream. Just wanting keep him in prison.
And him imprisoning Ranboo, idk about that
It's kind of implied that Ranboo blew something up at the prison
So Ranboo must've been enderwalking and had a hand in Tommy's death. Which is like the main thing that caused Sam to become more paranoid.
His failure to protect someone, caused his downfall.
I think the reason that a lot of lore has slowed down is because schedules can get really busy and they are very patiently waiting for Techno to fully heal

Bad did tests on the egg when he first found it and saw it could change some blocks. That’s how we know that the egg turns non-red things red, and bleaches red things. The bleaching we can see in action from Hannah’s skin and house going grey/white and Bad’s skin changing to white and black.
Most people know about the turning red part (cause most eggpire members had red eyes/skins after infection, the egg itself and its vines are red, etc) but the bleaching isn’t as well known.
Nor is the red to blue coloring. I study corruption types like these, and try to find their weaknesses. Soulfire for is the eggs biggest weakness, or we could try to starve it to death.
Perfect timing! I was waiting for this video! I already know it's going to be great, I loved the Egg Lore!
The demigod of the other side realized the end of time was near, so he used all of his power to travel to the beggining, but this left him weak. He hid himself in an egg that feeds off of people, trying to regain his power. After seeing Karl, he remembered that great amount of power he had, and ordered Sir.Billiam to kill him.
My theory is that the story was going too slow and preventing other stories. And BBH couldn't finish it because not enough people were ready to be corrupted by the egg. So basically they couldn't advance the storyline and people wanted it to end so they came up with a lame ending.

I think it would be pretty cool if the Dream SMP has a three faction war: one of the factions would be the Eggpire, another led by Tommy (with tubbo as his right hand man), and one lead by Dream (with Wilbur being his right hand man)

I think Tommy being immune to the egg is gonna play a role, for example I see a scenario where everyone except Tommy gets infected and then it’s up to him to destroy the egg

The egg has returned (foolish’s latest stream) foolish and samnook (is that how you spell it?) went back to where the red banquet was and the vines are starting to grow again
I do have a theory about how eret and foolish (well since foolish said that him and eret went way back to where they fought a wither cult) and I think this could be something regarding the egg. Idk if that helps

The egg sounds alot like sculk blocks, gaining power from death, growing and corruptng. It's probably not related though

I think The Egg's lore was very interesting and the theories you had that connected with The Egg were very interesting as well. I know you don't do "What if" videos but in my opinion if Technoblade never dropped the trident and Ranboo was stuck in The Egg it would be very interesting lore wise for the Dream SMP.
Honestly my idea would be the egg would hatch and a new person would join, 2 routes for them to go
1: people would notice he/she hatched from the egg, therefore knowing the problems they caused making them a villain immediately
2: The egg would crack and a new player would join out of nowhere, no one would bother about them until they realize they are the egg, making them a villain realized by other overtime. with the first intention to kill tommy they would set up traps and stuff like that they would most definitely fail. Others depends on the fact how the members writes the lore
this would be awsome if they plan to invite boosfer for him to hatch out of the egg (i think it would be fitting for because of how he acts in his manhunts)
Since Tommy is immune he should be the main hero who has to defeat the egg if it does hatch,because only other manipulators would be able to see through it's tricks and if not Tommy would have to face it alone.I also think he'll start with a team but lose more and more members along the way
Why would he need to be the main hero? This arc already has characters in them some have lost so much and have been affected by the Egg and the cult, they're the ones who have any right to being the hero or defeating the Egg.
The problem with the Egg Arc is that I believe Badboyhalo inspired it off an unfinished book series. From how the egg works to the uploads of the Egg Arc almost perfectly match the book series. Here, stop me if this sounds familiar.
A red seed that looks like an egg, with long tendrils that can mind control people as the villain. A Banquet dedicated to finding out more about the Seed/Egg. The fact that it turns out people can still have emotions when being mind controlled by it.
Even the info on the Egg matches the series. The last stream on the Egg we got was two weeks after the next book in the series comes out.
It's either all just a VERY BIG coincidence, or the Egg Arc is inspired by the book series

If you remember Ranboo was at the event and if he was the last time traveler this would mean Ranboo would be from the future but he forgot who he was meaning Ranboo could maybe remember flashes of he lifes if he is a time traveler and help Karl make his choice he could also help prepare everyone for whatever is to come next
I think the Egg was meant to Hatch Herobrine in the form of a player who would bring about the end of the SMP, or at least bring about a war for dominance.
You know, with the introduction to the second Death Book, what if its gonna loop back to them sacrificing someone with that book then reviving them with Dream.
Okay so in another comment someone had a really cool idea about tommy fighting everyone after they get infected, I’m thinking what if we had techno? He can’t be infected and seeing their opposing views on how to deal with the problem

I have a theory Empires SMP had a demon named xronath He's Spreads correction Like the egg He is exactly like the egg But P. Is nail gun but then came back in the finale
Wouldn’t it be hilarious if Grian was inside the Egg this whole time and when it hatches then there’s gonna be a big war (it’s a Grian thing) and then everyone who swears will die to the hand of Grian (also a Grian thing..) and pretty much the entire server crashes becoming an apocalyptic world with Grian as the ruler and the only ones alive are the ones who don’t swear such as BBH, Ranboo, etc.

Imagine if when the egg hatches mythrodak. In mythridaks lore his goal is to kill every minecraft youtuber. The dream smp is literally a smp filled with dozens of youtubers so mythrodak own lore could be used on the dream smp with him trying to canonlly kill everyone on the smp

The lore of the egg has returned-
so slimecicle has been on the server since the begining and is all knowing and has watched everything but only now started interacting with the world so slimcicle vs the egg
Badboyhalo never actually has the colors of his skin inverted even his eyes just his clothes which he changes back to the original to convince people that the egg is ok, while other people like antfrost and Skeppy had major parts of their skins changed.
I hope the egg comes back cause it felt like it was going to reach its climax and then they just got rid of it.

(in one of the streams i forgot whgo they gfo down to check on the egg and sees sam there and saying he and other prison guards will transport it to the prison(thats the last part about the egg i know and as long as we know bad and ant are prison guards also and theres no other guards so maybe sam was protecting it with bad and ant in the prison so quackity cant destroy it untill they all eventually forgot about the entire egg thing and sam might have been infected and was told by the egg this would happen so sam can betray them (as them not the egg)and keep the egg safe)))
(my theory is that sam might be using the kill checks to feed the egg even tho the kills arent canon but what if the egg takes all kils eighter canon or non-canon and sam said all kills by the warden is canon but non of the kills were acctually doing anything to their lives and maybe the egg has something to do with the revival book as in maybe the kill check works in the lives are canon and gets fed to the egg and the egg revives those lives like punz who was in the egg cult also was with dream and schlatt gave dream the revival book after seing the egg in that room secretly and gave it to dream and punz got him to burn the revival book into the eggs fire witch then the egg can get energy while people not getting sus that they are losing canon lives)(JUST MY THEORY BTW)

A dormant god? They like disobeyed DreamXD or Prime (I believe in the prime god.) and they were trapped within the egg, after years they figured out how to control people and talk to them, but Tommy as a strong follower of Prime and friends with Drista the sister of XD and Dream, is immune.
I bet its a siren, because they can control people and tommy mentioned rlcraft once when he was talking about the egg.

My theory is after dream SMP ended is that the egg is probably going to be there in season 2 and will spread into dream and dream becomes corrupt and starts killing people like Tommy, Tubbo, Ex.... Then there will probably be a battle between all of the members of the DSMP VS dream. Then BBH will start remembering the egg, same for Skeppy. They will start warning people about what happened in there past life in the DSMP. Then they will stop dream from getting corrupt. Then they will put the egg in a secret bunker so It won't spread. (Like season 1)

My update on the egg: I found a second egg growing in my "Bedrock Realm"; I don't trust it as well.
It would grow when there's no one around it. Seeds have been found around the realm as well.

The Egg is being hinted at with recent arc stuff a lot, especially with Foolish but others too
Summary of past events, Foolish and the Eggpire had beef from the beginning. The last time we ever saw the Egg active was when it literally possessed Foolish right after his Red Banquet death. Huge lore was dropped with the Egg saying it's one of the ancient beings, & that it has a long history with Foolish who doesn't remember. Then tried to get him to join the dark side. Foolish the pacifist said no way, and the Egg's final words were "you won't see the last of me, I'm a part of you, so you can't get rid of me" as Foolish threw himself into the holy water at DreamXD's church to drown it. So ominous. The Egg's voice disappeared afterwards and it has remained dormant.
Current arc, Foolish is DreamXD's best friend and they hang out a bunch. He's not much of a pacifist anymore, and is a big player in the current Book of Death arc. BadBoyHalo knows about the death book too.
In Bad & Foolish's lore they've have been at odds this entire past year ever since the Red Banquet. They make up and become friends, then are enemies again, over and over. Foolish is still bothered by the Eggpire killing him and brings it up in every argument. Bad has yet to properly apologize for that, it's very hard for him to process everything that happened with the Egg in general.
Sam, who's the one in charge of the Egg's containment, is the weakest he's ever been after losing a life which is kinda worrying. And Eryn's recent lore shows him having the ability to hear echoes of painful past events, where he heard pieces of what happened at the Red Banquet. Karl is involved in some crazy stuff which is connected in some way.
I'm not saying that all of this could be leading up to a situation where the Egg returns and wants revenge... but that's exactly what I'm saying.
