Agh, I feel so bad about this ending cause it just doesn’t feel right without Techno, I’m biased cause to me he was the main character, I only watched his POV, to me he was the hero. His arc to me was the most impactful, he was betrayed by so many people, he was a harsh idealist, stubborn, kind to his friends, brutal to his enemies, he was flawed, but he only wanted the best for every member of the SMP. And it feels empty knowing he can never show up when everything feels lost, he can never save the day, he can never be the agent of chaos ever again… R.I.P.

I miss watching techno’s streams on the SMP those were the days
Its a good thing they ditched the Syndicate and that half of the lore. The reason this probably took so long is because they had to write a new ending that didn't include that half of the SMP and only included the disc lore / revival book
This finale was amazing. Although the SMP has felt kinda dead, I’m glad it’s finally gotten a proper ending and can now have a new beginning!
the only downside is techno couldnt cross over it feels like the part of hi in the smp is gone

If you ask me there’s definitely gonna be some sort of crossover from season 1 in season 2 knowing Wilbur he’s probably gonna find some clever way to write at least part of season 1 into the script if there even is one
I have an idea about what happened when the big boom boom went off
So basically due to the nuke being unstable the blast was so powerful it didn’t just vaporize tommy, tubbo, and dream it sent them to a different universe where they lost all their memories

did we ever find out what would of happened with the syndicate had technoblade not passed? Did anyone do a side stream that explains what the plan was given who the 5th member was and what was going to happen ect? I really know that a good chunk of the plots got either redirected or cut entirely due to Techno's passing.
I know the people participating want a change and that is what matters but it just won’t be the same without l’manburg and Wilbur and Tommy and the story line everyone loves

I havent touched the dsmp stuff since the passing of techno, I honestly dont think I can ever watch the dsmp if techno isnt in it, he was the only reason why I watched them and, without techno, it doesnt feel the same anymore

I cant bealive that Jack was trying to get his Best friend back, since Tubbo was his first friend. Not realizing tommy actually stole tubbo. But the end, Dream was actually all just, Kind hearted. And just mad that Tommy kindof broken too much rules. they just got very mad that their builds was destroyed. That's just how life is tho, We make mistakes, and we can fix our mistakes by learning from it.
I feel so sad about this ending man I remember watching this when it first came out when I was 15 but after a year or so stopped watching it cause I started to find Tommy kinda cringe (don’t hate me lol) but seeing this again just brings back the memories of the good old days where I just watched dream smp every day in lockdown

This was a really good ending to end the series. It was a satisfying ending both to Tommy and Dream's story. However, it doesn't feel like the "true ending". There are still so many stories left unresolved: Ranboo, Las Nevadas, the egg. I hope they have more stuff in the pipeline for this season but I wouldn't hold my breath. Still, I would be satisfied if it ended like this.

The “Jack Manifold is a Nice Guy” plot is honestly, a very fitting message about toxic relationships. He wants Tubbo for himself, he wants all the impressive things Tommy has. And he holds onto symbols of a friendship which he thinks he can fix, slightly shifting the mirror story of Dream and Tommy. Dream holding onto the past and blaming all the irl problems on Tommy 😂
And in the end, it was not only his downfall, but also the downfall of the entire server
The Dream SMP started with Dream and his friends just loving their lives, being friends and playing Minecraft. The protagonist, Tommy, starts out as an unlikable annoying troublemaker that picked fights just for the sake of it but once a British country within the SMP is created, L’Manberg , slowly over time the fights he's apart of are more so for the friends he makes as time goes on and are contributed to responsibility to his home. On the flip side with Dream, when L’Manberg was illegally created and the wars between Dream and Tommy started, Dream lost things he loved and held dear, which was the start to his decent into madness. The reason he becomes this tyrant who wants more and more power is to cling onto anything he can so he doesn't ever lose it and to find the path of immortality so the life he loves isn't just a temporary thing, like the things he lost were. And then in the middle is Technoblade (R.I.P) who not only exposed the flaws of the protagonist Tommy but demonstrated that the creation of dividing nations and governments is what caused all of these problems in the first place. Sadly Techno passed away a few months ago and to honor his legacy, Tommy in the very end, finally comes to understand that Techno was right when in a moment in limbo he sees what the SMP was before nations and war and who Dream was before all of it and makes the decision that in order to make peace within the SMP again back when everything was simple, it has to be reset. And that's what happens. Boom. Server Reset and the protagonist and antagonist with new memories become friends.

the only thing is that Tommy didn't just hate Dream the whole time. Discduo friendship got entirely retconned. In pogtopia arc, Tommy refers to Dream as a friend, Dream gives him weapons and says hes on his side but then later betrays Tommy, Tommy is clearly hurt by this as he thought him and Dream were friends. Dream even tells him 'we're not friends I just like destrcution" even though Tommy saw him as a friend.
Despite whether you think they used to be friends or not, Dream can't just abuse someone and manpulate and fk with someones mental health just because that someone was a bit annoying at the tart. Dream still wasa the one to drive all his friends away. He claims taht Tommy casued divide but also claims that Tommy can unify the server, other wise why else did Dream exile Tommy (I mean content creator dream confirmed exile was just a way for Dream to get Tommy to be his freind so he could use him later which Im assuming is for unification.) Dream still did horrrible things to Tommy, never apologises for them and in the finale he admits that it was wrong and cruel but says 'good intentions' Yeah. Good intentions mean nothing, having a deeper down means nothing, you still abused someone and then were shocked when the person you abused started going after you.
Tommys trauma is so misinterpreted in this fandom and so blatantly ignored its insane. Being reckless and loud doesn't mean his character lacks depth. and in fairness, Tommy at the start had no ill motives, death was n't canon back then , he was just messing around just as everyone else had been, so many conflicts were started by OTHERS not Tommy, yet Dream looks back on this and thinks its Tommys fault.
Tommy even was nice and listened to Dream in exile, but Dream continued to hurt him anyway, taking away his food, hitting him, convincing Tommy no one liked him ect... And I know none of these actiosn Dream did were justified in finale, but the thing is you can't really humanize Dream here, sure hes human deep down and did these things for reasons, but thats everyone. No one in hte world is truly bad. Abusers irl are human and do things for reasons but the thing is they still abuse people.
Dream also claims that he had left Tommy alone and got shocked by Tommy showing up, despite the fact that he provoked that fear and paranoia in Tommy. In logstedshire he chase dTommy down and then later put up signs everywhere saying 'I'm watching you" like no shit hes gonna be paranoid and visit the lions den. If you hurt someone for months and then suddenly leave them alone, then dont be surprised when they show up and dont blame them for showing up, its a toxic mindset.
I’m really sad that it’s finished but it was a great story to follow and I can’t wait for season 2

I'm not gonna lie... I feel back for c! Jack manifold. Hear me out for a second! Jack since day one was left behind by pretty much everyone and constantly was the butt of Tommy and Wilburs joke's but despite that he still stuck by them until the end of L'manburg. It wasn't just jack but Niki and Fundy who started to question if the disc were even worth all that they've been through and for good reason imo, but Jack By far got the most backlash from Tubbo and Tommy. Is what Jack has done since then to Tommy (or has tried to do) justified? No, but I understand where that pain comes from because despite Tommy being seen as a protagonist by the fandom and even some people on the server, Tommy is kind of a dick. (Maybe I might be a bit biased here because I never got attached to the disc but eh)
This is probably a way jack would be an antagonist in the season 2

I heard lodes of people complaining about the ending but that ending was more climactic than they were thinking, the syncing of the white screen and tommy and dream making up were the cherry on top, dream and punz’s panic as the alarm set off and tommy, jack and tubbo explains that there is nothing they can do was so sad. I’m so excited for season 2 and can’t wait for another rollercoaster of emotions.

i like that since dreams spawn point was still set to the cell when tubbo kills him and tommy is swimming back up the water you just see dream for a couple frames
Theory: Tommy when dead can see his killers fantasies so when dream kills him originally he is scared because dreams fantasy would have been bad cus he was annoyed at Tommy and then during the stream when Tommy died the second time his limbo was a 'simpler time' for dream
I stopped caring when Techno died tbh, just checked in now and again as he has stuff on there. No point watching now.

the sad thing is that tommy was pushed into the hero role and dream was pushed into the villain role, both unwillingly, and played into that role the best they could. at the end, when they finally see each other, there was no villain or no hero, there's just two humans. two blonde boys broken at the hands of war, two who just never wanted to be alone.

So either they are all alive or maybe they are now in limbo, of course other stuff could happen but i would love to see one of these scenarios happening.
The only thing that they didn’t clear up in the Dream SMP finale was Karl Jacobs and his story as a time traveler. Unless I’m missing something.
So while everyone was arguing about how Dream or Technoblade or Wilbur was the most dangerous player on the SMP. Turbo made a nuke that destroyed the entire server and somehow started a new timeline.
This as well as Bad's well-animated egg ending ending is really making me interested again and kind of emotional with the dsmp all over again and even excited for a second part now if there is one...
I think we all know who we wish could be there for the second arc or whatever it's called, but I think it will be really good anyways. Everyone loves a fresh start!

Some people say this ending is not good, but I think it's a good ending. I'm glad that the dream relationship with Tommy, not just the ending of the world, has begun anew, and the mp world has also announced a new start. And, although it's true that techno blades are not going to be seen in future works, I think we'll still be watching them. I hope I can see dream smp2 someday.
I know its a Lore and its scripted but what if they lured Dream and Punz to an Ancient City and they summoned wardens to one tap Punz and Dream at the same time?
I know Tubbo said it wasn't a nuke but 'the incident'.
Techno carried season 1 so I'm curious whether season 2 will be able to rival that.

Dream wanted to keep it simple, and others asked to take it slow,
Tommy sold a leaf and friends so he let it grow.
Tommy asked to take it easy but others just tell him No.
It's cool but he doesn't see others laughing at his discs though,

Funny how, out of everyone, Tubbo ended up killing Dream

i relly hope we get someone that was like technos charter and philzas or philza stays the same also i think it opened a rift from one world to a new one and the people that was in teh explosion radis never died but got sucked into the rift becuase of the nuke so i belive there is a rift in season 1 server that the other members will go through

I was a pretty late dream smp fan so i didn't see most of the streams. Hopefully I get a better start with season 2!
There is still one unanswered question: who the heck was Harpocrates of the Syndicate, I have a theory that it was Punz (because of how Techno said he didn’t want to reveal himself until he was ready like with what Punz was doing with his alliance with Dream and Punz does like chaos) but that’s all it is, a theory, i wish we got clear confirmation

To be honest, I feel like the dragged out the ending way too long like it should’ve ended at least like a year ago and they should’ve been on season two by now, but it feels like no one can get together to do anything
Probably because of Techno's passing(R.I.P). They were probably gonna do a whole plot with the syndicate but they had to scrap it and make a complete new ending.
I miss 2021 with all the laughs and excitement and still when techno was alive and the server was active! I’m sure techno would’ve wanted a new start like this.
There’s something about the ending that brings slight emotion to me. I remember the mid-early days of the SMP, a time about wars and countries and cows. It’s a perfect ending to this series. Going to fight Dream in the prison, the tides being turned by Punz, Tubbo’s rocket, Dream and Tommy’s solution, and the start of a new world. Loved this series.
It's not the same without techno...
Yeah, the Dreamsmp isn’t good anymore. It peaked during the ManBurg arc almost 2 years ago, I stopped watching after Technoblade passed. Now it’s just uninteresting, scripted stories, cringy acting, and unlikeable characters. Season 2 should just be friends having fun again, with no scripts.
You should make a video explaining the entirety of season 1 of the Dream SMP. It’d probably be a long video but it’d be pretty cool.
I hope that in S2 they dont do deep lore and just leave it as friends playing minecraft and messing around, chill streams are much more better than roleplay and theres enough members for it to stay entertaining

So in the end, Tommy and Tubbo died a hero. Technoblade knew all along. Ever since the first destroying of L'manburg.
