A few weeks ago I saw this post about a man who got abused by a woman in a bar but wasn't given any proper justice. He was at a bar with his friends. A woman came up to him and tried hitting on him. He didn't reciprocate to which the woman went on to touch him inappropriately and even smacked his butt. He called the cops on her but she acted really dramatically and lied saying he was the one to touch her. He was then asked to leave the bar and never to enter the premise again. I felt really sad for him and wanted to see others' reaction and boy oh boy was i shocked! Half of the people (my guess would be they were mostly men) were making fun of him. Some called him a sissy boy for going this far with such a "light" situation. One legit commented something like "bro it was a bar..what did you expect". Some thought maybe she wasn't attractive that's why he acted like that. LIKE NO JUST NO. The situation was disgusting, the reaction was disgusting. A victim was not only unjustly removed but moreso belived that they might be the perpetrator cz of their gender. Think about it. What would've been the reaction if the victim was a woman? Men invalidates men. And it's been grinded in our psychology for so long, even us women has started taking advantage of it. It's shameful and alarming

    • @ereh.2087
      @ereh.2087 ปีที่แล้ว +34

Yes, and the sad part is that no one even bothers to talk about it..... on the contrary, some perverts mock such people saying they missed an opportunity like wtf is that supposed to mean? The society has stooped so low that people disregard feelings and emotions of others just because of their gender and don't even think back upon their actions which might have devastated that person from the inside.... as a guy I'm glad that at least some people realize this and that there is still hope. Hell, I'm commenting on this alter acc and not the main one that's the level of insecurities the social media has given me lol but i'm kinda relieved after reading this

But I did put on weight because of my medications, it was years later that I understood that my medicines were changing my metabolism. Dieting & exercise would just help me be fitter, but not in shedding extra fat.
I couldn’t stop the medicines & it made me feel worse about me. People would look at me & start giving tips, even suggest surgery. I was eating most healthiest food I can, I was working out more regularly, eventually it did start making difference that today I no more need medication. But I am still obese & impact of those medicines will change with time. Still I get looked over as lazy person. Only my family knows that I am most dedicated in my life in this year.

doesn't matter if you're short, dark, sensitive, have scars, fat, skinny etc etc just open up agar log hasenge then kuch sunenge bhi, head up kings🌷💗🕊️
edit: oki to all the people replying that the fat people should lose weight I think they are self aware and it's their choice whether they want to lose weight, and you're not in the place to tell a person how to live:)
(also for some bodies it's really hard to lose/gain weight no matter how much effort you put in so just keep in mind certain things before blindly body shaming someone)

Personally as a female high school student , I've noticed that the female beauty standards are much higher than the guys , beauty is one of the main objectives to become popular in school . But as for boys no matter how they look , it is about how chill they are. I mean there might be body positivity in foreign countries but in India , it's more of a topic to gossip with . We have seen a lot of overweight female stars online ,for ex. Singer of dance monkey . Imagine a girl in India about her weight , relatives would never shut their damn mouth.
In many places i have noticed how guys could be careless about the way they look but still be a pop . In India rationally there would be more over weight men than women. Some Women like me just wanna get accepted .
The point is a very few of the Indian MalE population has beauty standards . Isn't it more of a freedom than a topic to be depressed about ? 😄

2:43 I can relate 100%, I absolutely hated my body, always wore shabby baggy clothes, so much that people started identifying me as "vo ldki jo baggy clothes pehenti hai humesha", I stopped eating properly, got multiple deficiencies, because of that and even after loosing a lot of weight I wasnt happy, I couldnt look myself in the mirror, I used to spend hours crying at night, and at this point I thought nobody would love me, how would they love me if I cant love myself! Even opening up about it was so hard for me, I would first cry and then be able to say something, I remember the first time I told my mom about it and asked that I might need therapy I first cried profusely and then finally I was able to talk.

You most probably will not agree but it's the truth. You don't need to worry much because you are a girl. If you want a job, you won't have much issues as long as you are reasonably skilled. Nowadays companies are hiring more women under various diversity and women's quotas. Many hiring managers and officers also prefer women many a times. Apart from jobs and professional career perspective, even in marriage and relationships, you wouldn't have to worry. It's cakewalk for women to find a decent dude, especially in a country like India, irrespective of their looks, especially in this day and age. The only requirement is that you yourself should also be open-minded and not be shallow and superficial regarding the stuff like looks, skin colour and height. In fact there are many studies that have shown that "ugly" women are more likely to be married than their better looking counterparts. Pretty privilege is a thing, but you still have a really powerful privilege on your side, which is being female

It doesn't matter if you're a girl or a guy, as long as we're humans we're always gonna have our own body image issues and it sucks so bad. When it comes to men I feel like people are less hesitant to comment on their body. Women have insecurities and they do get bullied and stuff by other groups of people (in secret if not to their face). But when it comes to men I see their own fucking friends making fun of them openly, calling names based on their appearance is so normalized which is something I feel like doesn't happen with women unless it's by smn who literally hates them.
You all are expected to be so tough and not talk about your problems, I can only hope society as a whole changes. Idk how the progress can be made, maybe people should make men feel more comfortable to speak about such things and men should also start supporting each other. Idk how girls treat guys when they're open about their struggles, personally I've only see them reacting well to it but I'm sure there are women out there too who don't let men be their true selves. So I hope this all changes. And we as human beings just stand for each other and understand above all that we all have our own stories and our own struggles, be empathetic and treat each other with kindness.

Shrinkhal, love you're literally so perfect just like others, or let me put it in a way, you're not perfect just like the others, now here we don't discuss about whats perfect and whats not. We all know nothing's perfect. They're are so many mistakes we think we have which becomes our insecurities, which we sure want to hide from everyone and anyone but that doesn't make any of us less, its just the society that we're living in which makes us all un-perfect and its totally right to feel that way. Its totally fine to feel that way. But one thing we all should keep in mind that no one, not even a single soul is perfect, we have our insecurities which becomes our fear.
    How'd you overcome that fear?
Courage ofcourse. Be confident, be who you are, be yourself
Just that. And its all gone, you're insecurities will dim when all your perfects shines
So, you are perfect, just the way you are

This is the first video FROM AN INDIAN in TH-cam space that is talking about men's mental health and points around it. I've been reading all sorts of stuff and my change started in 2020 when I realised that what a sh*tty world we've made for individuals with no individuality. We're being confined in a box that fit the norms and more often stereotypes. I'm trying to convey these messages from the point of view of media projects by my TH-cam channel, and hopefully, I'll be able to bring a new change, at least in India, through my ambition of writing and even this TH-cam channel. I'm kind of like you... As in, I also freely apply nail paint, give cutie remarks to boys to cheer them up, and think differently from what boys have been wired to think from a long time. Doing any of these things won't make you gay, boys. Just be free and fly while remembering to come down on the ground and connect to people and their feelings. Romantic (or even sexual) fulfillments are not the only thing that you require in your life to be happy. Choose to be happy in your own way. Introspect, educate, explore, and do whatever fills your soul. Masculism is a word not known to many, even not my MacBook as I'm typing this as it is underlining that word in red dots, so we have to bring this word into mainstream space and create an environment for men and young boys to live as positively as they can. I'm sharing your video on my WhatsApp status and will subscribe from my personal account (as this account's feed is meant to be filled with updates of movies, series and media projects). BTW, I understood why your video was recommended to me. It was because of Tanmay Bhatt. I always watch his videos, from whatever account I'm using, while I also watch videos regarding men's portrayal in media, so I think YT algorithm might just have connected both of us in that way. Keep going. Love you from the other side. And **flying kiss* (without worries that we both are boys)

In conclusion I want to say that it is about mentality of a person, and people change their way of thinking when they are actually go through that kind of situation otherwise they just keep slamming others

Umm... This particular topic is very important but I think it would be great if you could make one regarding the opposite gender as well. So once I was scrawling on insta and I saw this reel in which one person was filming a girl making reel or some dance video or something with a background song "mera desh badal raha hai, aage badh raha" but the thing was, that girl was dancing in 'her' balcony. It had likes in lakhs and I don't think I need to explain why it boiled my blood. Aaj hi, in fact, thodi hi der pehle maine ek story pr dekha ek ladke ki jismai this girl bumped her scooty into a stationary bike and was accusing the bike owner. This had this statement written on top "Papa ki pari". I get it, she might be stupid but everyone is not. Why on earth is he putting it on his story? It just spreads negativity. You know, if a woman comments on men's dick size, then it is unfair but then men must also not be commenting on boobs. Like a person shared this reel on his story "I wonder why women with flat breasts have so much attitude, like haven't you already got everything off your chest" It basically made me insecure. Things like women don't have sense of humor, they are stupid and that trend "women *coffee cup*" and stupid stuffs like "papa ki pari" is just so popular nowadays and is so disgusting. According to what I think men making fun of men is comedy and women making fun of women is comedy too... but when men make fun of women or vice versa, it is not funny.
I know this video is about body positivity but I think I emphasized on the mental health part.

Have a great personality, be educated about manners and the way you speak and be respectful regardless of gender. Society is patriarchal, we can't disagree with that, misogyny exists as well as misandry. The amount of Misogyny is more hence women empowerment things, women supporting women is also more. Whereas for men, they have been raised in a toxic surrounding from where they have a hard time getting out of that, if they want to get out of that toxicity, then before anyone, their own homies criticise them, hence most of the men stay pressed about being gender neutral, non-toxic, self loving-caring and all. Not to mention, most men even glorify the toxicity and disgusting mentalities they have, so yeah it's all messed up and in this age of internet as well as our Bollywood mess it up even more by portraying toxic alpha men concept. So,it gets harder for men or younger men to understand what to follow and what not. But let us all understand clearly that being a good human is a first thing first. Don't cover up your sexist, toxic, homophobic mentalities in the name of 'Joke' regardless of your gender.

There's a book called Why Does He Do That? Inside the Minds of Angry and Controlling Men... It's by a researcher who worked with 2000 abusive men. I read it and realised some cultures encourage abuse, and so people continue to do that. It hits very close to why men ridicule other men, and women for speaking up about things not considered manly.

Sometimes we just forget to appreciate men and their work ,they too need to be celebrated and talked upon ,and they too need someone to share their emotions and pour out their feelings
Just so the men know ,you can always share your weak side it is actually human to HAVE a weak side but subconsciously we as a society expect men to be strong just like we expect women to be tender and light spoken ,if we can break that stigma for women we should do the same for men too
To all the men reading this ,you are absolutely perfect the way you are ,
Never let your self confidence down and most importantly don't compare yourself to anyone and keep grinding for your goal
