Awesome video. I have made bookmarks, but I never thought about sewing different pieces of fabric together to make one. I am going to make some of those pincushions. I have a pretty good stack of five inch squares from a previous project I can use. I'm new to your channel. TFS.

Sorry, I am very new to sewing: what was that tool you used to seal the end of the ribbon?
Hi, I used a multipurpose lighter to seal the ribbon but there is a fray liquid sealant you can get at fabric stores or online.

What can i use instead of interfacing
You could use a heavier weight fabric, felt or batting, then make some stitches to secure the felt or the batting to the fabric.
