Another pincushion idea is to take an old jar with a lid, and put a pincushion on top. It was one of my idea I make on a whim when wanting to use of scrap fabric and it is my go to pin cushion
Hopefully it is easy for people just starting out, practicing on smaller projects like these help on the path to larger more detailed sewing projects. Thank you for your comment, have a great day
Hi, for my projects I have fabric scissors that are best kept just for cutting fabric and then paper scissors for cutting paper etc. I have many pairs from over the years, but a more recent purchase of fabric scissors is from IKEA for a very reasonable price. The white handle ones you see me using here are actually sold a stationary scissors but when I bought them they were super sharp so I use them for fabric 😆 Just don’t let people use you fabric scissors for paper if you want to keep them sharp. Did that help? Happy sewing 🧵
@@RedRockingBird yeah I really liked how it came out. I was looking for things to sew then came across your video. I just made a bigger version of the drawstring bag kind of based off the one in the video. Thanks for the idea and have a great day

I do sew I have did similar pin cushions with yarn and stuffing but I never thought to use a bowl
It's really cute isn't it. Grandparents sugar bowl!
Thank you so much for this video. I LOVE the water bottle holder. But I'm having a hard time trying to figure out the measurements
I wrapped around, added a little extra and then added seam allowances too.
How much inched did you add to the fabric height for the water bottle? I noticed it was taller to be able to fold down
Just a little, every bottle is different, fold your fabric and see how you want it to look and go from there
What kind of scissors are you trimming with for the crayons?
