I have a pair of Indian Game heritage (Cornish) hens and they started laying at five months! In December 2021, and I know they're not known for egg production. They're also very tame and coo like pigeons. Very difficult to source in Canada: I'll be looking for a rooster, reg. or bantam.
Look up your local extension I researched today and my state will only allow certain hatcheries to ship here but they had a list so I found a whole slew of other breeders I didn't know about.
