As much as you'd like to have every tool for every unique job you have its not always possible, nice job making it work!

Yes, but we’re slowly building our tool assortment up

If that nut is the same size as the spindle nut, I'm golden. I bought the Scag socket and bearing tool so I can do spindle rebuilds more efficiently. Pricey but they speed up the job, especially installing bearings and seals.

Hey Greg, I don’t remember what size the nut was. I will say if you’re doing it all the time or have a bunch of Scags that it makes sense to buy the right tools. We only had one and had to get it back together to keep going right away, which is why we customized our channel lock pliers.

The 1.5 inch thin wall socket can be purchased at Lowe’s. For way cheaper than the socket Scag wants $45 for.

Thanks for the info. When I butchered the set of channel locks it was because we had to be back in business right away, a trip to Lowes is 35 minutes 1 way. So choices had to be made, haha.
