My mother was a LEGAL immigrant, she knew more US history than most born here citizens, she was more patriotic than most born here. She loved this country passionately.
I was homeschooled all my childhood from K-5 to 12th Grade. So grateful to my parents for that.

He and Nova moved here from Canada almost 11 years ago at this point and while he grew up there Cali and the greater U.S. is where he’s called home for the last decade and where he intends to live for the rest of his life. He and Nova are both working on getting their citizenship and if they have kids in the future they will be born and raised American.
I'm Chilean, came to Canada when i was six. People always ask me if i have ever gone back home but now I'm 55, grew up up here in Canada. this is my home now. Probably the same for Tom. Just a thought.

You are absolutely right that the schools are teaching our children to conform. Trying to counter the culture and programming they are being taught is a must. However the short amount of time they are with you in comparison to the 8 or so consecutive hours the schools have them is too overwhelming. One solution is to pull them out of the public school system. It is rotten from the top down and bottom up. The last thing they want is for parents to have a say. Protect your children at all costs.

Tom was born in Canada, but moved to the US in his late teens (2014, iirc). He holds dual citizenship, so technically he's Canadian AND American. Hope that answers your question - it used to confuse me, too!

I'm a 60 year-old man, and hip-hop/rap has never really been a part of my musical lexicon. Tom changed all that a few weeks ago when he dropped that song with Ben Shapiro. Now I'm expanding my horizons and realizing you can put positive messages into rap, it's just a vehicle. I mean, I'm not rocking dreadlocks yet, but we're taking baby steps! LOL
Oh, and I told him in his comments to do the honorable thing with his Lady Faire Nova, and put a ring on it! He was crazy enough to ask everyone's opinion, and I'm old enough and bold enough to tell him! Don't ask if you don't wanna know, ya know? LOL
