A massive thank you for producing one of your most poignant, respectful, knowledgeable, sympathetic and thoughtful videos ever, You have gone from strength to strength over the years proving you are one of the best TH-camrs. Have a brilliant new year you and all your family.
Fast becoming one of my top three travel/vanlife/carcamp channels. (and I watch far too many). Love that it's not all prettypretty only. And the good dollop of humour. ❤
Brilliant video Adam, very poignant for me, my step dad was one of the prisoners in that area. I never fully understood the awful conditions they were under. I do know that many survivors said they owed their lives to the local villagers who shared food, medicines etc. As you said in you closing let's pray those in leadership now and future will not forget what war does to communities. Best for 2025
I don't think you realise Adam that you are becoming an extremely accomplished narrator, videographer and travel guide. Thank you for your honesty and humility.
Great video loving the scenery and the people you have such a great interaction with everybody. It's just brilliant wishing you all the best Adam in the coming year for you and your family.
My English grandad was in the 40's in Burma, he delivered post on a motorbike to the forces camps. It's nice seeing the area where he might of been. I don't know much about his time in the forces. A photo of him in uniform hung in my nans front room, he died about 20 yrs ago. His view was, children should be seen and not heard. Scared the crap out of me. Thanks for the good content Adam. Greetings from the Netherlands.
Thanks for an amazing video. I really appreciate the time and effort you put in to make and produce your videos. You give me tips to come and see many of the places I have yet to visit in The land of smiles. Wishing you and your family a safe and happy New Year
Hi love the video s you do ,I’ve been to kan a few times , there was three bridges the pow,s built all out of bamboo, the bridge you was on was built by a consortium of countries back in the 1950,s to 60,s keep the good work up
A very dear old friend of mine who was in her nineties told me about her brother who was a labourer on the bridge and managed to survive with the kindness of the Japanese people who smuggled food into the camps, he was only 6 stone when came home 😢
Another very interesting and scenic vlog of your expedition around Thailand, you are doing great, loving your vlogs as always. Ive watched you on my telly a couple of years now 👯👯👯
About 20 clicks away tham kasae cave is cool where the railway is on wooden stilts above the river . Brilliant video and info . I lived in Ayutthaya & now after watching your Thai videos makes me wish I was back there ❤
Another amazing vid Adam 😁👏❤. Very well put together and informative 😊. Top youtuber in our opinion and have been for a long time. Have a great new year 🎊 😊❤
Thanks you so much for this video my grandad was a prison of war I never got to meet him and my dad send he remember saying good buy to him when he was 6 years of age and never ever saw him again ❤
My grandfather was a Far Eastern Prisoner Of War, fortunately he did not work on the railway - he was a medical orderly in the camps that he was at - caring for fellow POWs suffering with various tropical diseases. 😭
for anyone who is interested in the history - the book Healing In Hell: The Memoirs of a Far Eastern POW medic by Michael Adam’s is an in depth read or the film/book The Railway Man by Eric Lomax. He was classed as a Malaya POW after being captured in Singapore in 1942 and eventually liberated in 1945! And then put on a very slow boat back to the UK.
Rule number one with you!!! People who have watched for years or have watched two or three times know that no malice is intended from you, inaccurate facts due to reasons and especially when you're in a different country and actually speaking the language isn't a problem. I'm British, Scottish, born in Germany and love aviation, so my only complaint is the helicopter! Not WW2. My Grandpa was a Japanese prisoner of war, and the only reason I found out is because I asked why he refused to eat rice at dinner once. I was toldmlater later. You're a top bloke, and if your kids are up for it and obviously Bobb in a Blackadder pronunciation of Bobb sense is game, go for it. I love your Brit trips, but I will watch the future ventures when and if you move. Life's short from a male widow at 39 with a 7 year old daughter. Fuck it and go for it!!!💜💜💜
Hate to tell you little fella they no have helicopters in ww2. That small helicopter looks from Korean war. Remember watching M A.S.H. as ajud and those little helicoylooks looks from that era.
You did it proud ADAM MATE, and you have nothing to say sorry for because you were spreading the word. And the Japanese always looked at surrendering or being caught alive was being a cowards way, because they would take their lives with honour apparently most of them, so thanks for the very interesting great to see the rest of the track lines and hell. You take care out there and we see you soon happy new year.Alan.🇬🇧🇺🇲 and more.💯👍
please please please stop spinning round when your talking with your arm out spinning about its making me travel sick lol apart from this i love watching you my mate keep up the good vids
Keep off the Coffee ...hunter, too much makes your head spin. Adam has his own trademark when filming so please respect instead of making judgement. Thank You 🙏
@mollycooper-rg9zz dont think he was judging him, he was telling him, how it makes him feel as a subscriber. It is good to know, and get feedback from viewers, me thinks and is to help Adam not hinder him 🙂
Absolutely astounding to see the actual Bridge alongside the original jungle path with train rails. This is a truly emotive subject and i have to say Adam you have done well with your Commemoration. The Spirits of the dead prison soldiers and native citizens used and abused horrifically to produce a road and rail link through that Jungle in WW2, will be so proud of you for being so kind in appreciation of their hard work and sacrifice....allowing their memories to live on ! 🙏
Hope a top new years everyone Big Love Uknow 🙏

Seeing how hard it was for you just walking along the track in that heat really brought it home how much people suffered there.
Enjoy the pool.

Wow the audio said that was a tough job as they had to decide who was fit enough to work on the line

Very informative. I didn't know all these facts.👍👏
Fun fact : KANCHANABURI is the hottest province in Thailand. Therefore, good choice for not coming here in the peak summer.
You asked us if you should go home for Christmas or not...

Hold tight buddy might be able to sort something out while I'm here along those lines failing that I'm back soon
Thought the real bridge was made of bamboo or wood like on the film.
Surprised you have spent money and bought some glasses 😂
health and safety gone mad over here. sense is safety. no cant leave stuff hanging about because people are quite stupid and cant leave things alone.
I don’t get how you speak decent Thai but struggle saying kanchanaburi in English. Very odd Adam 😂
Lol u know me and pronunciations
Please stop spinning. 🤢
Great video
Ads I'm not sure why they celebrate the bridge? Doesn't seem something to celebrate, more like commiserate. Great vid tho!
I think i should have said commemorate maybe
Absolutely astounding to see the actual Bridge alongside the original jungle path with train rails.
