I love parkruns like this. My home parkrun isn't the easiest to run either, so when I do some tourism or road races on a flatter course the PR feels unexpected and quite nice.
Love this! What a great way to train though on a tough route so that the flat feels much easier! Thanks for the continued support and well done on the Parkrun PBs! 😄
Looked like a challenging run. Those hilly trail runs are always a test of character. Been a while since I took one of those types on but every now and then I do. They are always fun but you have to put an asterisk next to your finishing time. I figured 3 drinks was the answer -- can't imagine running after 7. Enjoyed the video!
Great vid! Hamsterley is tough! I agree about Jesmond tho, i defo found that tougher. Windy Nook, and Flatts Lane are the 2 toughest I've done. Lots of 'upward flats' to navigate 😂
Well done it seem like a very tough park run And it a lovely course to do . You should mersea Island park run And maldon park run And colchester Castle park run
From the gate at the top onwards this is 100% my favourite parkrun! Thank you so much for capturing it :) Once you've done Flatts Lane, you'll think the Hamsterley hills are OK! The Flatts Lane hill is on a whole other ridiculous scale :)
Hamsterley has just shot up my must-visit list for northeast parkruns thanks to this video. I’m sure it’ll kill me, but it looks amazing. Thanks for sharing.
Even go pro can't flatten those hills,no mistaking that they are steep! i guessed 3 drinks straight away. It looks lovely though,i cant decide if Jonny missed out or made a great decision to miss this one!
Haha so true Ollie 😂 no hiding the steepness! Good guessing (I think we’ve established I’m a lightweight 😅). Such a lovely course and I definitely think Johnny would’ve hated the hills 😂. Thanks for watching and supporting!
Finally got around to following and watching. So good to meet you both at Hamsterley Forest. Keep on running 😊
Thanks so much Emma! It was so lovely to meet you too! Hope to see you soon 😊
Thanks for sharing.

@@those2runners Haha!! The rest of Flatts Lane is great. My very strong advice is don't even try to run up the hill!!!
@@kendrajohnson6535 noted 😂 thanks for the tip! 😊
