I heard a version of this tune on KUVO jazz and searched for it and while I dont believe this is the record I heard this is currently the favorite version I could find Bless!
I love the Philip Glass Etudes, but find No 16 the least interesting - but I love this version. They seem unerringly to have chosen the one etude which benefits from rethinking.
Mario M... funny, because what I hear is “The other instruments are producing sound, jazz”. Keep on mind all instruments do is make noise. It’s only in the creative arrangement of this noise that we recognize this thing called “music”.
@@capture614 Sound can be music or noise, it depends on the relation it has with the previous and the next, and with the other sound. In that case the bass and the percussions are plain, they could have been used anywhere, they are unrelated, unspecific. I like the Etude, I can play a couple of them, here I feel disturbed by the other instruments, I'm sorry.
Oh good lord... this is gorgeous!! The piano is leading but the parts, ideas, and TONES of the bass and drums are spectacular and significantly enhance the piano. So much better than solo piano!!
Wooow
❤
this jazz version is gorgeous
This clearly has the spontaneity of jazz and tonality with the form of classical to send it forward.
This is too delicious... I binge-listen to it... over and over.

🎹💞💞🎹👍
Eat your heart out Phillip.
No, no. The other instruments are just producing unnecessary sound, almost noise.
