Thank you Jesus for taking my sins so I can go home.. thank you Paul for your patience and writing these letters your letters have helped me so much.. I've read threw 8 time's . Thanks God for your word to get me threw my day's , thank you for this opportunity to hear church today 🙌 God bless us all 🙏🏼✝️
This message helped me so much. I was going back and forth of what is considered a sin and what is not. I realize I am battling with my flesh. I love how you broke it down.
Thanks for writing in. Jesus died for all of our sins, including the ones that seem to take hold of us in a more serious way. We are saved from Hell because Jesus paid for our sins. The Bible says hat there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ. (See Romans 8:1) Also reading through Romans 8 would be very helpful for you. enduringword.com/bible-commentary/romans-8/ There are some things for you to consider. Addiction to pain pills and nicotine is very bad for your health, as you probably know. Have you been praying about how God might deliver you from these addictions? There is a lot of medical help available in many places. Have you spoken to your doctor about these addictions? Plus, God wants to help you spiritually to be free of any and all addictions. Are you asking Him for a way to be free from addictions and to be as healthy as possible, both physically and spiritually? May the Lord encourage you through Romans 8, and may you be free from addictions. Blessings to you.
Thank you Pastor David. Yes, I have prayed for God to deliver me from these addictions, especially nicotine. I feel like I have a lot of bad habits: over eating, cursing and playing way too much golf. Yes, I am so obsessed with my golf game I feel like it’s become an idol
@@m47131 Allow me to ask you a question. Do you read your Bible? Is God speaking to you about these issues. If golf is becoming an idol, remember that an idol is something we CHOOSE to worship. So don't choose golf to the point where it becomes an idol. We have to choose to dedicate ourselves to the Lord. His grace is there to help you, but you have to surrender. Blessings!
This sounds to me that if a Christian falls and turns to alcohol, gets stuck in addiction to alcohol and dies without repenting and turning away, that they forfeit salvation. Is that how you see it Pastor David?
Pastor Lance replies - I think I can answer for PD and say that we need to be careful about drawing conclusions like that. It might be true for one person but not for another. The crucial issue is - Is someone trusting in Christ when they die? Can a person be trusting in Christ and addicted to something? While addiction is certainly something God wants to deliver us from, it doesn't mean someone is not saved.
@@DavidGuzikEnduringWord Pastor Lance, I sure pray that’s the case. There is certainly a difference in someone who glorifies drinking and enjoys being drunk than someone who is truly addicted to. I never realized how bad and how dangerous alcohol addiction can be until we almost lost my daughter last year. I pray for her daily. Both her life her soul.

Thank you so much for sharing this, David.
What’s the difference then between envy and jealousy ?
Bless you all.
As a believer in Jesus Christ and trusting Him as my Lord and Savior, am I going to hell for my addictions to pain pills and nicotine?

@@m47131 so in other words dude you're not worshiping the game of golf You're just playing it, it's just a hobby there's nothing wrong right there.
@christsavesreadromans1096 I have repented, and I didn’t need a Catholic Church
