leader's cowl is 100% made for objective burn, it's quite absurd when you actually think about how much faster fg falls with something like it on the field
Indeed, I completely overlooked that aspect of the item. I still think it's not an ADC item as it's terrible damage for teamfights, but I could see a solo or jungle buying it for objective burn for sure.
@@Inters3ct I feel like the passives of the cowl items seem like they were originally made for supports with weak rotations, but then got reworked for ADCs
@@francesdiflavis786 thats exactly how its supposed to be played.... animosity is actually a late game carry item it will prob get nerfed into the ground because of its potential for split damage and its devastating structure damage. Ill be building animosity on my tower killers that dont get strong till late like my freya. Could be fun to use on a warrior or assassin too to blow up towers and do magical damge on basics.
@@yolandiego3407 How? Disgusting because they are aggressive in their marketing? From everything I’ve heard the game is actually pretty good. Just cause they pay to advertise on almost every channel doesn’t mean they’re a bad company/product etc.
Sands of time actually existed before mage's blessing. So, technically, they took sands of time and made mage's blessing, only to reput sands of time with a bit better stats
Something to keep in mind about leaders cowl. Don't think of the passive being only for team fighting. If I understand the wording correctly, if you are 5 man roaming in the jungle then it seems that your team should have 15% more power for free, which is insane when we think about shredding objectives before the enemy team can get there.
I want everyone to know that sentinels embrace only has a range of 25 units meaning that it's a support item for supports that just hug their backliner
I think you’re underestimating Spartan Flag. The base version is pretty solid for aggressive supports. But for the flag itself, it’s quite a large area and it last for 10 seconds with an internal cooldown of 10 seconds. That means you will almost always have a huge circle buffing your team that moves as the fight moves. It’s quite powerful imo for aggressive supports.
Tainted amulet works with all anti-heal, meaning you can straight up steal heals. I’ve tried it with an Ah Puch. It felt really strong, but I was against a comp with a Herc, and Ra. I’d say based off of your ranking it’s a 7-8/10 it’s situational to characters who have in-ate antiheal. I’m testing to see if you can combine with Cerberus to heal for over 100%
War flag is useful if your adc skips their starter item so they can do boots rush or tier two starts. This also means that said hunter can buy a full animosity at level 20 and not worry about the tier one cutting their xp. Even though hunters don't have high hp to proc animosity the item itself gives 400 hp and at level 20 with more attack speed and pen then any guardian who would be tanky you melt towers and Phoenix with animosity. I have no idea if that's worth it but it has been fun in the games I've done it. That being said I've only done it 3 times and two of them were with Erlang and Ganesha war flag supports.
Heroe's axe looks perfect for a Cthulhu build. I could build Gem of Isolation as first item to get full CCR later on, and that would make it so that I could forgo grabbing Bulwark and get Pridwen for the health shield/damage that I get when I ult. Combined with the passive, it could make for a fun late game.
Just to point out something in case you didn't test war flag... Its spartan flag is MASSIVE. Its the distance between t1 mid towers and then some. Its surprisingly big
Conduit gem is a pretty much must for the mages. And don’t get me started on it’s upgrade archmages adds an extra 300 to 500 extra damage to an ability that can hit multiple people. By far one of the best items in the game
manikin scepter is good in solo too. i did a mirror match with bellona in solo. i went deaths toll and she went manikins and i could not box her at all and her clear was just so much better then mine that she just had instant pressure. i think late game deaths embrace is just better for solo laners then anything from the manikins tree, but manikins can make you snowball hard and win the game before it gets late.
I think archmages gem (especialy combined with soul gem) could be insane on nu wa if you were to ult at full stacks. Itd be nice if you made a vid about it.
I gotta say, I tried Leather Cowl on Bakasura and it felt really good. The mana hurt but he clears camps fast and heals from them anyway, so the stats were really nice
Leaders cowl could be good for taking objectives and seiging, as you would likely be getting 12-15% increased power for everyone, but the other ADC items are really just better
Super informative for lazy readers like myself, watching this as my game is updating today for season 8. Thank you so much for all the effort you put in, viewers like myself always appreciate it!
Few things that others might have missed or not considered: Conduit's Gem helps low clear late game mages have that little bit of early clear. This is clearly the substitute to Purple Boots rush on gods like Thoth and helps someone like Baba full clear with one or two abilities instead of needing to basic attack or using another ability. Archmage's Gem is basically souped up Soul Gem for Nu Wa. Good god I'd rather face Jorm with infinite sustain instead of entering every fight with Nu Wa dealing 1300 damage to half my team with Archmage's + Soul Gem. Both Spartan Flag and Leader's Cowl should really help in objectives with the former allowing increased fighting potential in an objective dance and the latter essentially giving a Primal Fury buff to your team. Benevolence sucks compared to Sentinel's if you're planning to babysit your ADC past level 5 and is pretty bad if your lane is being snowballed because you get less farm from anything. I wanna know if someone tested Olorun's interactions with the Crit from upgraded Gilded Arrow since I wasn't able to play him in matches nor did I test it in Jungle practice. Also does the crit there on Magicals stack with the crit chance against someone suffering from Failnot passive?
I just wanted to say that Bumbas hammer as it works right now is stronger than you might think depending on the god. AA cancel gods like Susano, or other gods that weave abilities and basics, like Loki and Tsukiyomi, this item is ridiculous on them because the passive doesn't have a cool down.
This is great work... It's so helpful for people like me who love to play SMITE, but don't have time to stay 100 on the new changes. You are a God sent... Thanks!
I can see the deaths toll and manaquin ceptre seeing nerfs before release maybe sentinels gift as well. I am super excited for season 8 though such great changes and love the map. Looking forward to your videos.
So one thing that might make bumba spear is the dmg against structures. So imagine an arachne or any decent split pusher using this item. Won a game yesterday in part due to split pushing and forcing the enemy to fight us.
Animosity in solo sounds insane lategame, and assuming with Benevolence you keep 100% of the xp from minions because you have no nearby allies, you will always be ahead on xp, which lessens how bad it is early, and also makes you get to Animosity sooner.
You only receive 90% gold and xp. If an allied god is nearby, they receive the other 10%. You don't get 100% of no one is near you, but the passive gain does keep you about even.
Very nice and insight analysis, but I would've rated the items in a different way and not with an arithmetic average. Let's assume a given starter (A) is quite strong along with one of his upgrades (A1) but the other one is complete garbage (A2), the item itself would still be great because you will always be buying A into A1 and totally forgetting about A2. Conversely, if a starter (B) is bad but has very strong upgrades (B1, B2), it might still not be the best choice because you are playing with an item which is outshined by other items till level 20 (or 17). Maybe I would've given the starter itself a 50% weight on the final vote and the upgrades 25% each. Anyway it's a great video, I love to see different points of view about new things for better understanding of them.
Death's Temper might not be picked because it doesn't actually work, or didn't a few days ago when i tried. Autos that hit 118 dmg on creeps before stacks and after stacks still hit 118 dmg, so it literally might as well not have a passive. It also has limited range on stacks, and you can't gain a stack from an enemy at the end range of a ranged auto attack, so even if you're a hunter plowing into the enemy team and killing gods, it might not stack anyway because of the range. Really unfortunate for the item as a whole.
All this knowledge and possible new itemization paths is both really exciting and really stressing. One the one hand, I want to experiment but on the other hand I don't want to get into a game as my main and pick a niche starter item that the rest of the team will flame me for
You don't think that Spartan Flag could be really effective with blink ult initiators like Sylvanus, Ares, or Cerberus? I guess it depends on how aggressive you and your ADC are trying to be, but I think War Flag could really help dominate the lane early too.
For leaders cowl I think the real beauty in the item is when you are doing an objective and your team has a team wide 15% damage objective for pushing. But yeah in a real fight it’s not too useful.
i seriously appreciate the amount of effort and time that you put into testing all of these and the in depth analysis on each of them, this will make going into season 8 a much less painful experience for me :D
I think deaths temper with kali might be insane, because she can target one player, get half stacks and full health if no antiheal and then she can just go on a killing spree, what do you think?
Can mage adc pick up benevolence? Can warrior supp pick up cowl? Animosity and the upgraded version of cowl would be good for sieging.... Thats if they work on out of role picks like mage picks benevolence and warrior supp picks cowl.....
Bumbas hammer looks like a jack of all trades/master of none. It's either like good enough in enough situations that it's a good buy or it's too much nothing stats and it's near useless. IDK tough to guage without play testing it
