I love German boyfriend being involved in your family so much. He helps you open durian… he cares about your culture more than most. I have had cultural differences in a relationship that were never respected
Being in an intercultural relationship means respecting each other's cultures and accepting them to a certain extent. If one does not do that, the relationship might not work and offspring might never learn about the other part of themselves. Our culture is what makes us, us and that's what makes us special and one of a kind.

You guys didn't know? 😂 Germans colonised South Australia in 1842 . The areas have names including Handorf, Langmeil, and Hoffnungsthal and a dialect evolved called Barossa Deutsch. great video! i really enjoyed the way you captured the moments, it was super heartfelt. but honestly, i'm a bit surprised by how everyone reacted to your bf. it feels like some folks are still stuck in old stereotypes about relationships across cultures. wouldn't it be nice if we could focus more on the person rather than where they're from?
Australia has significant, well established vietnamese areas and populations since the 1970s. We have asian shops/grocers EVERYWHERE. You can get everything you want ,easily at low cost. Bringing vietnamese food to Australia is like me bringing beer to germany ,then arriving to discover beer is sold everywhere inexpensivley 😂
If you've ever seen 'Border Control Australia' on TV, you'll know you're not allowed to take a lot of plant or food items. Every episode shows an Asian person taking their food though, not declaring it, and get it take away from them whilst they pretend they didn't understand the rules.
Yes, I thought of that too. Packaged goods like spices are usually ok as long as you declare and there are labels describing the content. Also....salt is salt is salt🤔
@wendyamsterdam8482 She said the salt is flavored, meaning there are added flavorings and/or spices. Salt IS basically the same, but can differ in manufacturing processes that change the taste too.
I have taken spices and Food... declared it and there was only once where they asked to remove the pepper seeds.. the powder was fine... same with cardamon powder was fine pods no... anything packaged they let it go... so I don't see why they would hold her spice powder or salt
Raising kids is very hard. It's good to Wait to have kids, my husband and I waited 8 years to have kids, and it was the best thing to spend those first 8 yrs focusing on us so that when we decided to have kids it was hard but very beautiful
Not all kids are crazy. We had one son and he was such a good baby and toddler. My husband and I both raised him and we both worked full time. My husband had a stroke and our son is now 20 and is such a sweet young man. Definitely talk about children and family/household expectations before getting married and make sure you both are on the same page. Best wishes!
Hi Uyen! My husband and I waited until later in life to have a baby.. I’d say wait and enjoy married life as long as possible with your soon-to-be husband! It is indeed exhausting and I’m glad I waited :) travel, live and have fun! It is very rewarding but don’t feel rushed!
I think you guys made a good video and good auntie and uncle not everybody is born to have children, so Bina great aunt, and uncle is a very good thing
14:50 Dear Uyen, I also have a sister with children, so your words are very consistent with my state of mind. I used to think it was weird that I wasn't attracted to children, but that screaming always irritated me - I was tired after meeting her. Now that I'm 36 years old, I think I can live as I feel and that I don't have to deal with children if I don't want to (I have the impression that it would end up making me mentally ill). Additionally, it turned out that it is normal for people with ADHD - so I no longer have to blame myself that there is something wrong with me.
We have so many Asian grocery stores and fresh Asian produce here now (Chinese, Thai, Indian, Vietnamese etc. etc.), that I'm surprised there are still products we don't have. Learning all the time.
Yes hotels and even hostels are so expensive in Australia!! We went there for our honeymoon (from Italy) and stayed in pretty disgusting hostels a few times. And even a fancier hotel like Hilton wasn't that fancy even if it was very expensive. 😓

great video! i really enjoyed the way you captured the moments, it was super heartfelt. but honestly, i'm a bit surprised by how everyone reacted to your bf. it feels like some folks are still stuck in old stereotypes about relationships across cultures. wouldn't it be nice if we could focus more on the person rather than where they're from?
Australia has significant, well established vietnamese areas and populations since the 1970s. We have asian shops/grocers EVERYWHERE. You can get everything you want ,easily at low cost.
Bringing vietnamese food to Australia is like me bringing beer to germany ,then arriving to discover beer is sold everywhere inexpensivley 😂
"Our niece..." OHHHHHHHHHHHH 💖💖💖💖💖
I adore your happy food dance, it never fails to make me smile.
Also....salt is salt is salt🤔
been binge watching that show lately and this is the first thing that came to mind.
I think I have lost count of the trips in the last year? So great you can see family this often.
So lovely to see you both in Aus 🇦🇺 welcome ❤ and hope you enjoy!
4 daughters! Wow!
One short of becoming the Bennet family lol
@@justasliceofcheesecake9833” If only we had a son!” - Mrs. Bennet sulking
So lucky! 🤩
There is absolutely nothing wrong with not wanting children. Our society makes us feel like we should live that “life”. Enjoy your life as you are 😊
Australia is great, that’s awesome!
Australia has great produce and delicious foods from different nationalities. You’ll eat well in Oz!
I'm from Australia and recently visited your country. Everyone said "Venice is so expensive". Me: same prices as back home. Some things actually cheaper 😆
„I dont judge, I put Maggi in my food“ 😂😂
Thank you for protecting the privacy of strangers and children by blurring their faces. Your actions set a great example for others to follow in showing respect and consideration online. I am from Vietnam
Brilliant video Uyen, you always make great, funny and interesting videos. I've been watching some travel videos about Vietnam, it's such a beautiful country with a really interesting culture and some of the beaches look amazing 🌴 I love your contrast videos about the Vietnam and German cultures, thanks Uyen and Uyen's boyfriend for all the laughs 💙💙
You two make me heart sing
18:04 I was waiting for German boyfriend to shout "Perry the Platypus!!"
Super❤ könnte stundenlang zusehen ❤😊
6:20 orion and the dark!!!! It was so lovely film ❤
So glad you spent time with your sister and nieces. Next time, try to explore more of. Sydney.
It is so sweet that German boyfriend seem to enjoyed spending time with your niece/nephews. Does he have an older brother.....lol.
Remember that kids usually arrive one at a time and they don’t start running around right away😂😂😂
