I hadn't heard this version before the gig last night, and didn't know a recording of it even existed. I thought they'd just rocked it up for the live show. If anything, the full band arrangement makes it even more adorably dorky than the scratchy lofi version on the album. Such fun, makes me grin from ear to ear
I found their first cd the moldy peaches in the summer of 2003-4 and i bought it just cuz of the band name ..at first play I was like these guys suck ..but before the cd was over i was hooked ! Its awesome to know that you dont have to be a perfect singer or musician to get a cd out there ..Love these guys
Thanks so much for uploading this, used to hear this song very often as a little boy before my ma passed away in 07. Haven't heard it since until recently when I tried memorizing the lyrics and came up with the sentence 'Hey, I'm starting to feel okay'
I just love the Moldy Peaches! They don't try to be cool, and they have normal voices, not all edited [obviously some editing, but not so much you can't tell they are people]. They are so unique, coolio.
Indie boys are neurotic -- makes my eyes bleed. Tight black pants, exotic -- some loving is what I need. But, hey, I'm startin' to feel okay. Lucky number nine, hooray. Sepia on the staircase -- mirror in the back of my brain. Makes these hard pants feel great -- I used to like to complain. But, hey, I'm startin' to feel okay. Lucky number nine, hooray. Bloody Mary, mother of god -- Grandpa's on the hobby horse again. Tamping, broken pants chaffing -- I'm running out of ethnic friends. But, hey, I'm startin' to feel okay. Lucky number nine, hooray.
My friend saw this over my shoulder and said: "What the fuck is this and what are they doing?" My response: "This is the moldy peaches, and they have permission to do whatever the fuck they want!" ...lol
It brings me back to 2003 and Sonic adventure 2 Sonic adventure DX Sonic heroes Billy Hatcher and The Giant egg playing super smash Brothers Melee Kirby air ride watching cartoon Network.. Scooby dooby Doo where are you we got some work to do now.. why can't God just let me go back in time for a while and enjoy the past again?
To all the people who come to hate on this band. Originality and fun is the name of the game and these guys got it and more. Don't tell us what to think just cause we loosely use words such as genius, we just might be a little more open-minded (not meant as an insult).
i'm a huge fan of freak folk and psychfolk ...joanna newsom, cocorosie...and i've heard of moldy peaches but never really gave them a chance until i saw the movie and am glad i did coz i'm in love with kimya and this band!
what a bunch of weirdos. i loooove it. it's funny that the whole appeal of moldy peaches is that they don't have appeal at all. i really like their songs
i tihink that they realy know the meaning of their song...... whatever why always a song has to have a meaning??? its because i love it!! sorry if i had any mistake...my english is bad!

Holy cow they still playin"? That's amazing.
I cant get enough of this band.
There's a big difference between hipsters and weirdos. Weirdos just can't help it.
And these people are weirdos.
Thanks heaven.
The lines blur. As long as your willing to admit you're a hipster, and you're not a pretensious dick, then you can be a hipster
1:48-1:53 cracks me up so bad! I replayed it over and over again, just to see their dances!
My favorite is black-suit-guy!
EPIC!

I also love that they don't try to be weird, theyre just unapologetically themselves
Brilliant. i watch this every week ! It always cheers me up !
Just saw this for the first time on a cloudy cold day. Was awesome.
I really love the line "Sepia on the staircase/Mirror in the back of my brain." It's so antique feeling. C:

At 1:20, when you see the close-up of the mime-guy, and they all start humping the ground. It makes me laugh, every time!

If I was looking over your shoulder and saw you watching this, I would have placed my face firmly next to your headphones.

Yeah! It's lucky 'anyone else but you' was in the Great movie JUNO.. maybe THAT will make people notice their talent!
si es tan facil, por que la complica el resto. el mejor videoclip que vi en años.
Great video, some of the hippest musicians out now with their trendy indie/emo attire and especially with Juno coming out.
