Kimya can actually write very good songs with creative, well-crafted lyrics. And although Adam’s lyrics in his solo stuff are mainly just a lot of oddball non-sequiturs, they have an interesting beat poetry kind of quality to them, and he pairs them with some appealing musical arrangements. I think they purposefully wrote overly-simplistic, silly songs for The Moldy Peaches. I love their solo material, but I honestly can’t stand most of their Moldy Peaches output- it’s like a joke that gets old pretty fast.
