They have the right when they were attacked and had hostages taken and never given them all back!!! Hello!!!! That’s why Isreal has a right and Russia does not!
Many of the hostages are probably dead, killed by the IDF bombing. No-one has the right to kill another person. They do it anyway, but not because they have the "right" but because humans are evil and it is a convenient way of dealing with a problem. Hence Cain and Abel. You don't like someone, you kill them. Some people think that way and when they get into positions of leadership, wars start. UK went through years of terrorism. Thankfully there were no leaders who sought to start a war over it - until Blair and Iraq. They understood you could not punish the many for the few even if they supported the terrorists. Now we have no domestic terrorism from IRA. Even terrorism from Islamist we contain any way we can by counterterrorism. So we get to stay decent for the most part.
Russia -Ukraine war is different. That is about territory and control. Hamas was not threatening to take over Israel. Neither of those wars should be taking place.
