  • freedomon2wheel... Part I of adjusting valve clearances on Yamaha XT 660Z Tenere Model 2009 with 105578km There are many different ways how to get to the valves and disassemble the parts to get to them and this is my way of doing it. :)

@RadoTrenciansky Do you have an email that I can reach out for specific questions?

105.000 kilometers... Have you done anything else on the engine besides valve ajusting and maintenance? And how many kms do you go on 1 maintenance?

Thanks Marco. I am now at 135000km. I change oil and filter every 4500km and then tyres, chain sprockets brake pads only as required. Keep it simple.

Instead of removing everything and explaining afterwards what you did, it would be better just show the removing and the tools needed. Somehow "backwards" feeling in this video. However good information anyway, so thanks for it.

Thank for your comment herrko61. When you film on your own it's easier this way. I am glad you got something out of it.

I have tried to do a strobe timing test as the manual states. . With the little window open. How does one perform that with out the mess of oil shooting from the timing open window? . ? I know the timing is fixed but I still need to check it . Thankyou

Thanks for asking Coco 123. I personally would not bother as timing on these machines is given by CDI unit which is very precise. And to answer your question. I have no idea how to do it without oil splashing out.
