    Thank you, sir. Very good explanation.
    I need to prepare myself mentally, to do this on my Aprilia Pegaso Strada.

    Nice videos explaining everything. Even tho I can't do it, I don't have a garage and much torquing experience, it gave me some insight to what the machanic will do (hopefully he will!) on my XTX.

      It went pretty good! With this video it its easy to do. I set the intake to 0.09 and the exhaust to 0.17. Weird thing is that the engine is still noisey.

      @@RadoTrenciansky It seems that this noise varies from engine to engine. This is what i hear. Mine is on the noisy side unfortunately. But i saw also ones which are pretty silent and smooth. Will check valves and also for that lose bolt on crankshaft

    Thank you for this very detailed and helpful video. I'm about to do a valve check for the very first time myself, so that wille be exciting, and I will use your video as a guide! I do have 2 questions, if you don't mind.
    First one is about the tank removal; the workshop manual mentions that you have to disconnect the fuel hose, the overflow hose and 2 connectors. How did you do this? By changing the angle of the tank (lift) to get underneath?
    Second question is about the alignment (0.45 seconds in this video); what socket are you using? Is it the same as the one to remove the front chain sprocket? I believe that is a 32mm
    Thank you very much!

    • @RadoTrenciansky
      @RadoTrenciansky 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You are very welcome. After you remove fuel tank bolts it's best to have someone lifting tank slightly off the frame so you can locate high pressure fuel hose and push on two plastic tabs to then unlock quick locks and disconnect the hose. There is also slide on security clip which you take off first. It is pretty straight forward once you see it. Socket size to turn crank shaft is 22mm I believe. Have fun and good luck with it.

      @@RadoTrenciansky Your video shows it isn't necessary to remove the radiator to do the exhaust valve check. Nevertheless you've removed the guard and the bolts, but keeping the radiator in its place. What's the advantage/benefit of doing this?

    Maybe it's gonna be a stupid question but i've to ask :) I've read the manual and some other info on web, i can't find any information or "to do" step about engine oil draining. Is it necessary to drain oil to valve adjustment?

    • @RadoTrenciansky
      @RadoTrenciansky 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Janberk E for valve clearance adjustment you do not have to drain oil. You just need to take the tank off and everything under it to expose the head of the engine. Engine has to be cold and if it is not, draining oil helps cooling it off quicker.

      NO

  • @enduroreisen
    @enduroreisen 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Not a good idea to set such a tight valve clearance because it gets even tighter over time. It is sensible to choose the largest valve clearance within the tolerance. I adjusted it to 0.13 and 0.20 and the noises disappear after just two minutes. So you have the greatest security against a burnt valve!

    • @stephenmcqueen4029
      @stephenmcqueen4029 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@RadoTrenciansky you have adjusted to minimum clearance. So as the valves normally wear into the seats, the clearance becomes less. If your checking them every service interval and know the bike well, fine. If they don’t close up that’s great but most bikes close up with miles and if you are already on minimum clearance you will be less than that before next check. Set too loose you could loose a bit of power and gain noise but the valves won’t close up and burn out.
