SHF really cooked with Spider-man 2099, I have him and he's a beast! CT is making the bootleg version of this and it's coming with more expressive unmasked heads, might cope that one for the heads and spare parts.
Definitely getting this over the Mafex version. Different interpretations and all, I know, but the Mafex 2099 just blends in with the rest of them having the same body mold and all.
I was actually expecting Mafex to make a Spider-Verse version, but I guess they didn't want to compete with S.H. Figuarts, got lazy and just used old molds. If they release a 2099 based on the animated film, that would be a different story. 😅
Great review 🔥I wonder though, at similar price points is this more favorable than the new Guts Berserker Armor figure? Perhaps it’s just preference but I wish this figure had more accessories 🤷🏻♂️
Thanks 🙏 From where I am, the Guts Berserker Armor is around 25% cheaper so it’s more favorable if price is the sole criteria. You got me thinking there 😅 Considering other factors it would come down to how much one likes either character. Both have nice detail and articulation, and both would have imposing presence when showcased. But they are on opposite ends of the same genre: a knight from the past and a hero from the future. I agree with you that 2099 should have had more accessories though. If he did then the higher price would be more justified.

Thanks! It’s not my intention to subdue the colors, but thought it would emphasize the detail a bit. Glad you still liked it. I left the electric blue and brighter colors at the beginning and ending shots. 😌😊
Hi! I bought it online via Hobby Link Japan - it's called Steel Truss Silver by the company Hobby Base. They also come in red. Not sure if they still produce it though. Hope this helps. 😁
